Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

United KingdomWe both had to choose the same breakfast. A very bumpy unsurfaced road to approach the property. If anything, service was a little OTT.
The hostess Denise couldn't have done more - everything you could think of, and more. Fresh flowers everywhere. Breakfast exceptional. The room was lovely, and a private lounge was very comfortable, especially with home made cake.

Richard and Denise were the perfect hosts. They made us feel welcome from the moment they opened the door and were attentive and generous throughout. Their house is truly impressive and the view over the weir enjoyable. A cut above any B&B I've found in UK before.

The breakfast was outstanding and we really enjoyed the option of Denise and Richard creating a surprise cooked breakfast, which on both days was absolutely delicious. Denise and Richard are fantastic hosts with nothing being too much trouble and we received the very best hospitality. Their beautiful home is a lovely place to stay with stunning views of the river. Thank you for such a lovely few days we shall certainly return.

United KingdomThis was one of our best b&b vacations ever!
Denise’s breakfasts are in the premier league. My wife and I loved all the food on offer. Denise created 9 different and stunning breakfast works of art for our 10 night stay. We chose our favourite as a repeat for the 10th morning. Exquisite fruit salads with/without yogurt, granular cereal and nut combinations with fruit and fruit juice and filter coffee/tea were available daily as were varieties of bread for toasting The breakfast setup in our guest’s private ‘snug’ was special. Any needs…. Denise and Richard would meet them. The approach to the property makes one wonder… then, the lovely house and garden and river setting unfolds before you. Delightful! Inside the house all rooms are special, lovely decor, everything you could want and freedom to stay in all day if you wish. We slept so well, home from home. Denise goes the extra 10 miles….a birthday cake, snacks for our homeward journey. Nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful people.

United KingdomHow can you beat perfecion??
I really don't quite know where to start in describing our stay....it was perfect in every way and Denise and Richard were the perfect hosts. On arrival, Denise prepared a tea for us and I am not talking tea and biscuits! She showed us into our private snug and had laid out a magnificent table with fruit, little lemon gateaux, chocolates, cookies...oh, yes, also and pots of tea and coffee! The snug was so cosy and looked out onto the river and beautiful gardens and terraces. Denise left out jars of sweets and biscuits in case we felt hungry at any time. The bedroom was large with a big bathroom and the bed was blissfully comfortable. Breakfast the next day was a feast, created by Denise. We asked her to surprise us with her choice and she did this on each day with imaginative variations in addition to juices, fruit and numerous options of bread to toast. Mid morning Denise brought through some scrumptious banana bread which we shouldn't have eaten but could not resist. This set the tone for our three day stay and Denise even gave us some homemade muffins for our journey home. Denise and Richard have created a foodie's delight in their home in a beautiful location. We will be returning, just a little matter of burning off a few thousand calories so that we can start all over again. Denise and Richard, thank you so much for all your kindness and generosity at sharing your little piece of heaven with us.

Australiaeverything was six star luxury
This was a perfect stay in a wonderful house with exceptional hosts – Richard & Denise. The quiet setting, the river at the boundary, the quality of all furnishings, the 5 star breakfast this was the best place we stayed on our trip around England. Densie is a wonderful cook and catered for my wife’s gluten intolerant requirements exceptionally well. Made us gluten free cup cakes and helped us with ideas about trips in the area. A great place to unwind for a few days – so tranquil. The short drive to the house is a bit rocky so take it easy in the car for the last 100 metres. We would certainly highly recommend staying with Richard and Denise and we hope to be back one day!

United KingdomThe road to get to the house is a bit stony but with some negotiation is manageable, however as this a a shared road it is beyond their control.
Richard and Denise were exceptional hosts and we particularly liked our surprise breakfast in the morning. Denise was also really kind enough to make a gluten free birthday cake for my husband's birthday. We loved the large room and double 'American style' shower and the fact that we had both a private balcony and a snug that we could use. There is also a gate at the bottom of their garden which allows you access to the Tamar trail right by the river. We would highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a romantic get away. We loved it.

United KingdomDenise and Richard were the most wonderful hosts! Their home is beautiful and they can't do enough to ensure your comfort and happiness. Denise is a fantastic cook. Her breakfast was just stunning with so much attention to detail. When we first arrived we were warmly greeted and shown around. The Snug is a lovely room to use to relax, watch TV and have breakfast in. Denise made such an effort with beautiful little jars of colourful fresh flowers both in our bedrooom and in The Snug. Our bedroom was beautiful, tastefullly decorated and immaculate. We had a mini fridge with a little bottle of fresh milk and water. Overall, a lovely stay. Thank you!

United KingdomThe location, the accommodation, and the absolutely beautiful. The highlight of the trip was meeting Richard and Denise. They were so inviting and caring. My wife became ill, and Denise made sure to pack extras for her such as herbal tea and gave lots of advice. The accommodation was so clean you could go through with a magnifying glass to find even a hair out of place. The breakfast was out of this world and one of the highlights of my day. Overall, more than the area itself, I would go back just to relax and get away from it all whilst enjoying the company of Denise and Richard. Thank you for a fantastic stay, we hope to return sometime in the future.
