The bed was fair...could feel the springs. Very different bed than all other stays.

Restaurant on site was awesome! Close proximity to Edinburgh airport for travel the next day. Receptionist extremely sweet and helpful!

The bathroom was clean except for when pulling the plug out of the bath, whilst showering because the water was not emptying, the plug was dirty and clogged with hair and dirt! 😧 The water pressure was not very good either. We didn’t have breakfast. Bed was comfy, room was clean and tidy.

I am not brilliant with stairs and was given a room up three flights of stairs. Breakfast is not served until 8am at weekends which was too late for me and I had booked for bed and breakfast. Staff did offer a pre order breakfast which I did use but it was only the cooked item plus coffee and not the full combined hot/continental breakfast that had been paid for and I was anticipating. Showered in morning only to find no bath towel in the room by which time it was too late to request one. Reported on checking out.

Staff were all very friendly, approachable and eager to resolve issues.

Felt springs in bed mattress. Breakfast did not open til 8 am. The restaurant food was great, but the service was terrible. I asked to be seated at a different table and was told no, even though the place was empty. Trying to get the wait team to come to the table was impossible. We walked in at 740 and did not leave til almost 9. Dinner took way too long. Food was good though.

The only thing that could have been improved was I had a room with twin beds and the bed was a little narrow. Otherwise, all great.

The door to the bathroom was sticking a bit and the bathroom was a bit tight for room and short of handholds for elederly like us. The breakfast was a bit variable at the weekend with slightly frazzled bacon though perfectly edible. It also had DIY toast which is a bit time consuming.

The position of the hotel near our relatives and the helpful staff. The car park is good even when busy and although the climb to the bedroom was a bit circuitous we were well able to do it. The room had a good view of the sea which we miss at home now.

Lumpy pillow and a dog waste bin (a bin liner even) would have been of great help to dispose of waste bags.

Staff were very helpful and polite, they went out of the way to help us with an issue we had. Breakfast was lovely. We would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

Breakfast was very poor, the bacon and eggs were cold, the only other hot food available was congealed baked beans. The coffee jug was empty and wasn't replenished, and there was no milk for cereal. There were no staff available, the tables were not cleared, and I had to search for clean cutlery and a glass. The charge for taking a dog was also excessive.

This was an overnight stop on the way to the Scottish Highlands. Location was good for this. Room was adequate. Evening meal was reasonable and breakfast good. Staff helpful and good service.Did not go out of the hotel so couldn't say what area was like in so far as shops and restaurants.

The annex room 65 was very good but I don’t like climbing into a bath for a shower prefer a walk in shower

Everything in relation to the property was good. However, due to a large coach party staying at the same time, there were issues with the food at dinner. The waiting staff were very good and apologised, I believe the kitchen was having problems
