Only the water pressure in the showers could be improved.

Incredibly comfortable. Everything we needed to have a quiet relaxing weekend. The bar / lounge area is a lovely space and the fire pit. Definitely a perfect romantic get away 🙂

I think just the toilets being separate when weather is bad & through the night but this isn’t a huge issue.

Bed was so comfy, hut was cozy & warm, the bar is an added bonus with the log burner. Great location handy for the Peak District for hiking, we visited dovedale & Thorpe cloud. We also visited peak wildlife park on the way home which is a lovely little zoo 5 mins away. Also went out for a gorgeous meal to the black lion locally about 10/15 mins away, food was incredible & really nice pub

Having to leave was the only downside. We loved everything.

There simply aren't enough superlatives to do this property (or the hosts) justice. Quirky, rustic, beautiful, peaceful etc., etc., We arrived early and were met with the warmest of welcomes, from both the hosts, their dogs, Marcus the rooster and others. The bed was super comfy. The views are spectacular. Everything we could possibly need was suppled including a raft of simple games and information on just about everything. This place really is special. We didn't want to leave and will most definitely return.

The only thing that bothered me slightly was the power from the shower.

Quiet village location with picturesque views. Great southern point for exploring the peak district. Well facilitated wash room. Comfortable bed and weatherproof shepherds hut with electric hobs.

    Nothing..can't fault it..

I liked everything about this place..the scenery was lovely the hosts are lovely and the hut was great. Pub two miles away serving nice food. If you want peace and quiet then it's ideal..there is also a bar on site with music and games for children..depending on your prefered location this is about 10 miles from Ashbourne and 5 miles from alton towers..

Once the host had shown me the hut's amenities, and left me with a few suggestions for evening meal options, I was already feeling at home and comfortably enjoyed the peaceful vibes and gorgeous views. Parking was very easy and within a few steps to shepherd's hut entrance.

Had such a lovely stay at the hut! Beautiful scenery and a very cosy, comfortable vibe. Everywhere was clean and and easy to find. The owner was lovely too. Close to Alton towers which is a bonus after a long day. Really wish I had booked 2 nights!! Will definitely return, Thankyou for a fab getaway.

EVERYTHING. Gorgeous, comfy hut with everything I needed to be self-sufficient. The views and surroundings are beautiful and tranquil, enhanced by the wandering hens and ducks. The owners are lovely and friendly too. The shower block is warm and quirky, and there is a communal area with a TV and wood burner, which again is tastefully decorated. I had booked in for 2 nights but unfortunately had to leave early, as work needed me to travel to Bath. I would love to return.

Nothing wrong with the property and stay however I will say, do NOT use Apple maps for directions as you will most likely be taken to the complete wrong place, google maps is definitely a better option.

We came here was it is close to Alton Towers as it was something different to the usual hotel or B&B. We liked how cosy the place was and how the whole place had a calmness to it. The hut was very nice, the bed was comfy and it felt a lot more spacious than I initially thought it would. The hut was warm and had a heater which was useful on a morning which did not need to be on for long. The provided kitchen facilities were just what we needed, however the fridge was small so don't bring a whole load of shopping. The view was nice and hearing animals was a pleasant change. The parking was very easy making it convenient to get to and from the car. We didn't use the fire pit due to the weather however it is definitely on the list for next time, it was good that there was logs and firelighters available for purchase. The hut was clean and so were the facilities, the showers were pretty good. The bar area was nice to be in to just chill out and watch something on TV after a long day, it was a nice addition. The hosts were lovely, Georgie greeted us on arrival and explained everything well. Georgie was very helpful as we got lost (twice) and she gave us easy directions to get us there. We definitely feel that value for money was exceeded and we will be booking again soon.
