We payed over £500 for the accommodation, I was there with my brother who had travelled from Germany. We thought a twin room would do, but unfortunately after the first night my brother could not sleep as I was snoring. So we ask as the hotel was empty if we could have another room for him to sleep in. We expected to pay for the further room but not at over £200 for two nights, they eventually dropped this to £159 but as we had already paid for the breakfast and evening meal, we felt this was excessive. The staff were not properly trained , all though they were very polite and well dressed. I had to show the bar staff how to pull a pint and also how to use the credit card machine. Not a good start for a up and coming hotel.

Lift didn't work. We were on the 3rd floor and my wife has a foot problem that made it very painful for her to get to and from our room. The lighting was too bright at night time, it didn't turn down to an appropriate level. There were no bedside lamps available. The shower didn't drain, it overflowed. One day our bed wasn't made up. Quite a small room. Parking was limited.

Room was very cold, windows single glazed and could not be properly closed. Although the bathroom was refurbished there were parts still needing attention. It would have been helpful to have a walk in shower rather than over bath. Evening meal had limited choices. Lift to upper floors not working but staff carried the luggage.

Breakfast was poor. So much so we ate out instead of eating at the hotel and foregoing our paid for breakfast. The hotel was still under refurbishment and the lift wasn't working .

Lift not working, having to climb 4 floors to the room. I'm 67 years old. Also, when you turn on the wash hand basin tap for hot water , it takes about 4 minutes at least for the hot water to reach the top floor from the boiler.

We were on 4th floor room and no lift although they did offer to help with luggage, tools and ladder was still there as they were still being refurbished, not visually pleasing , whilst walking down stairs , member of uniformed staff was sitting on stairs on mobile , room was very warm and could not open window as they had been siliconed sealed

he hotel was in what they called a soft launch. The lift wasn't working so staff said they would find our elderly parents a ground floor room. This was up 30 stairs. We were told we had a sea view but as we had arrived early we had to wait . On return to reception we were told our package did not include that. Staff were very poor and bar staff did not know the bar

the towels in our room were wet and the towel dryer/ radiator in the bathroom was not working, it took us a whilst to sort out dry towels so we could have a shower as there was a problem with their tumble dryer too, bit more of a walk into town for something to eat as no evening meal available than the muthu we should have been staying in.

we stayed in the best western not the muthu as it was closed for refurbishment, room had a good view, it was clean and the beds are very comfy, staff were friendly especially the girl behind the bar and on the front desk, breakfast was good, help yourself affair so you could have what you wanted

The hotel was not ready to receive guests as the corridor leading to our room had no lighting. There were light fittings on the floor. The 2 nd night the staff added battery operated candles. However they were inadequate. At least they tried.

severely needs updated, wi-fi signal not great. lift was broken the whole 3days we spent there. communication was not good, breakfast was terrible it was stone cold. it lacks the friendly atmosphere.

The lifts were out of order for the full week we were there the blind in the bathroom didn't cover the full window and was covered in white paint which took away the look of the bathroom as it looked as though they had just been refurbished for the price we paid for a room you would have thought that would have included breakfast but it didn't and to have breakfast would have cost 20 a couple each day front steps could be an issue for disabled people as I didn't see a ramp

The location was excellent if you get a room with a sea view it's a great view onto the water

management didn’t wear masks. when I asked them why they weren’t wearing them they said they didn’t have to as they were double vaccinated. I explained that this was not the case and they argued about it. I would never go back there and that’s a shame!

Small bedroom, shower very hard to get working, bath plug wouldn't retract so they put a chain on and put it back upside down. Clear glass in bathroom with poor fitted blind.
