Friendly and welcoming hosts, great location and great breakfast!

Nick and Alex were so welcoming and friendly. We had an amazing time. They were very generous with their time help guide us as to what to visit. Would highly recommend exploring Major Oak in Sherwood forest, the Chatsworth House (can easily spend the entire day exploring), and Hardwick Hall. Do take the tours as the volunteers and the tour guides are absolutely amazing and full of the history and juicy stories about the Dukes that owned/lived there. Had a tasty dinner at the New Chand (indian restaurant).

We really enjoyed our stay. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We could lock our bikes in the secure courtyard overnight. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented in the elegant dining room. We would be very happy to return.

We can't think of anything, it was all great!

This is a fabulous place to stay - full of lovely surprises, from fresh coffee in our room to a super comfortable four poster bed. Our host had thought of everything, we really enjoyed our stay and would strongly recommend it.

The bed was creaky and the posts seemed a little unstable. Would have been nice to see the garden set up a bit more. We thought it was a little overpriced.

The breakfast was really great and the hosts so welcoming of us and our two dogs. I really appreciated their kindness and hospitality. The location was perfect for visiting key places and tucked away so not in the hustle and bustle. The bathroom was gorgeous and the little toiletries etc a nice addition.

A beautiful house with beautiful rooms. The host Nick was very helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. I was feeling a bit ill, and he let my husband bring a bowl of cereal up to the room, and he said we could leave later if I wanted to sleep a bit longer. Excellent service. Lovely big room.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay, warm, welcoming and homely. Hosts are just all round amazing people and the addition of the two most friendliest dogs you will ever meet, Daphne & Millie, made mine and my partners stay all that more special. There is a lot of love and soul in Ravenscroft and it reflects beautifully in the décor and all the attention to details, with old and new blending seamlessly. Rooms are exquisite with the comfiest bed and bedding, and clean throughout. Breakfast was exceptional, really great selection on offer and well worth it. I just can't sing praises enough, the whole place & experience stays with you in such a positive way & I honestly can't wait to go back.

I had a bit of difficulty finding good places to ear. A lot have shut down.

I loved everything about this place. So much thought has gone into making a stay there special. Breakfast was wonderful, hosts were so helpful, and the little extras were much appreciated. The room had everything you could possibly need.

Lovely place, lovely owners, attentive, not in your face and not over the top. Amazing quality breakfast. Felt at home. Our dogs loved it. The owners dog's were lovely. We can't wait to come back.

If I had to be picky there were too many light in the bedroom. Didn’t hate them it was turning them all off at bedtime 😆
