It was a bit cold. I think the radiators were not working, we put them on (as the staff told us to after we complained about that), but we waited and they never got warm. That was unfortunate and the only issue in the period of staying.

The thing that we like the most was the breakfast. Included in the price, we had the possibility to try the real full Scottish breakfast and it was amazing. Also the pancakes with cream and berries were delicious. And we liked the bathroom, was new and modern, with a lot of light, the shower was quite big and the bathroom spacious

I had the full Scottish breakfast on the first morning, it was huge, so I had the smaller breakfast each day after, my only comment is that the small breakfast did get smaller as the week went on.

There's some noise spillage between the rooms and the corridor but nothing that bothered me too much.

The staff is super friendly and helpful. Overall a nice atmosphere and some nice pubs around, especially the Fishermans Taps.

Only two types of cereal for breakfast. No gluten free cereal or toast for my husband despite having informed the hotel beforehand he was a coealiac.

Great location - we were going to the races and got a bus right outside the hotel. We walked back as the rain had stopped! Room was exceptionally clean. Great shower!

Just a bit cramped in the shower room. Might be noisy downstairs in bar etc. at weekend nights, however for being on a main road we had a good night's sleep.

Great location for a day at Musselburgh Races. Breakfast included and good choice available.Bed very comfortable. Decor recently refreshed to a good standard. Easy parking on the premises. Easy for buses too.

Rooms were clean and breakfast was very good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Car parking excellent. Buses stopped outside hotel and very regular service. Would recommend to anyone wanting to visit Edinburgh, convenient and easy to stay instead of staying in the city itself.

I had issue with my main meal twice being cold and i sent back we were celebrating a wedding aniversary i sent 4 email messages to the feedback to the hotel but have had no response to my issue so not happy that its getting ignored

Breakfast was not the best on the first morning, but was a lot better on our following days.

Warm welcome from the team. Bedroom was a bit small but only there for 3 nights and went out everyday. The bathroom was lovely with a really good shower. The hotel was busy with wedding receptions. But didn’t stop the staff from providing good customer service.Good bus service into Edinburgh, short stroll into Portobello which has some nice independent coffee shops. Will definitely stay again.

tiny little things - the room was quite cold when i arrived the shower and bathroom facilities were great, but just missing somewhere to stand the bottle of shampoo in the shower

the welcome and all staff were extremely friendly . Breakfast was AMAZING!!! didn't need to eat again all day! cleanliness and appearance of rooms was excellent

I would have liked fruit at breakfast and breakfast roll was nrioche/,burger style not sure why a Scottish breakfast roll couldn't be used.

Hotel was near venue we were going to for a family party - great. Room was compact but perfectly suitable for our stay. Bathroom lovely- good shower. Breakfast choices limited but tasty.
