Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe gutter was leaking across from our room, keeping us awake much of the night. Also the breakfast, though lovely good, was a shambles in terms of organisation and lack of staff, there wasn’t enough supply of items and the tables were strewn with food and plates. This wasn’t cleared up until we left, very disappointed as clearly there was a lack of staff. However those who were there tried their best
I liked the building style and layout across the grounds. Spa facilities were good although steam room was out of action.

United KingdomThere was only really one thing that let this property down and it was one member of staff who was very rude and hostile about our (very friendly, very soft dog). Completely unnecessary - he did nothing wrong (except, I suspect, be a staffy). This is a dog friendly hotel, so if you don’t like dogs, don’t work here. However as I say most staff were lovely and absolutely recognised our dog for the big softy he is which was really nice for him, as he adores people and just lives for fuss.
This was a nice place, lots of parking, not too far into Cambridge. Lovely grounds, nice rooms, I woke up to birds singing. Generally a very happy and pleasant vibe and most of the staff were great. Really good value for money.

United KingdomNo telephone in room. Had to walk to reception to order. Breakfast wasnt great, ordered and when nothing arrived after 30 minutes query resulted in the apology as they hadn't sent the order to the kitchen ! Too late by then, kitchen closed, I had an appointment so couldn't eat in. Was given a sandwich to take away but no discount offered, I had paid for b&b. Disappointed
Staff, cleanliness, site.

United KingdomBreakfast could have been cheaper - we declined due to cost. The garden and grounds could be made a real feature of the hotel.
Spa facilities; large fluffy towels in the bedroom; ease of walking into the village. Easy access to park and ride for Cambridge.

United KingdomSteam room was out of order. The breakfast - the waffles and bacon were disappointing. The waffles were soft and not really cooked, there was too much maple sauce and the bacon didn't taste right in maple sauce. It would be better to offer waffles and strawberries and the maple sauce in a jug for guest to pour themselves. Service was slow at breakfast time on the Sunday- not overall busy and dinning room floor was very sticky. Sadly our shower only come out in scolding hot or scolding hot.
The room was nice, the pool and spa was great and the closest to Cambridge was ideal - there is a local park and ride which was close to the hotel. One of the receptionist was lovely when we asked for soft pillows and very kindly found us some.

United KingdomWas quite far out of Cambridge and the road/small airplanes a little noisy. When we arrived, we were told to park on the grass due to a boxing match in a marque. Found this very disappointing as we were residents of the hotel and the visitors, not staying had priority parking!
Good facilities, pool area was lovely and very clean. Staff nice and friendly and a had a good breakfast. Comfy bed and room had everything we needed. Water and tea/coffee too.

United KingdomPaid for breakfast but never got served. Had to find staff, ask for a menu, and then no one returned to take my order. We were attending a wedding, so lots of us, they seemed short staffed at the bar. Drinks prices varied depending on who served me and were very pricey.
The spa is divine. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the bed was comfortable. The staff were lovely. The food served was top-notch. Cooked and dressed beautifully. Beautiful grounds and a delightful little stream through the grounds. The venue was clean and warm. Ample parking and good disabled facilities.

United KingdomBreakfast was included in price but not impressive - We have tried different food on the menu on different days and still felt it was slightly disappointing.
With the seasonal discount/offer, very reasonable and competitive price for a spa hotel with a family room. Very spacious room for two adults and a baby - Free cot provided. Free parking available on site which is a bonus. Will definitely need a car to drive to Cambridge but that suits us well.
