Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe wifi wasn't working in our room - even after we asked the staff and they told us to log in into another network, it still didn't work. The rooms were a bit dirty, the beds not very comfortable and really loud by just sitting on them. The heating was on all the time, which made the room very warm. There's no AC, just a little old (also not clean) fan to cool the room.
The staff was very friendly. The area around Hyde Park is quite nice. The hotel was in a not too crowded street, and it wasn't that loud in the night. It's also good to reach via a tube station nearby.

GermanyNo soap hanger on the wall in the bathroom. Such tiny detail is one of the core essentials must-have in any hotel regardless of its standard. I applied the soap on my palm. I was literally looking for where to drop the container, but I found no reasonable place to put it on. Tiny mistakes like this can ruin an overall good experience. It cost around 10 euros on Amazon. Just get one and stick it to the wall. I mean, it doesn't cost a liver or kidney to have that in the facility. Secondly, the bathroom floor is not ideal most especially for the elderly. It gets so slippery due to the plastic material on the shower floor that I forsee a potential criminal liability in the nearest future if that doesn't get thrown out for a more foot gripping material. Yes, there is a warning to be careful using the shower, but that won't strip the facility off any liability if any accident is to come from using the shower. It's just so obvious. I would stay here again, no doubt, but I will make sure the two points mentioned above are checked
The staff were really, really helpful. The room was clean. Loads of shops and restaurants next block away. Close to the station as well. It's pretty much in a strategic location. Love it.

United KingdomNot a great room, very small with a very small window. Not as clean as it could have been, rusty radiator in bathroom, carpet was water stained, a mousetrap under one of the beds.
Comfy beds, the staff were lovely, very helpful and courteous. Nice breakfast but had to pay extra for it.

United KingdomFinding the room was a nightmare. It was small, old and unfinished. The toilet was missing a flusher, the floor was damaged and uneven, the room was noisy and both hot and cold at points. If it was not London I’d have been horrified at the cost. The bed kept moving and everything was very dated.
The staff were amazing. Friendly and polite.

United KingdomThe TV in the room didn't work, despite a staff member coming to try to sort it. On leaving the room the next morning the door would not open due to catching on the carpet inside. Difficult to get out and pulled up carpet as a result!

ItalyThe room was extremely small, I had a terrible feeling of claustrophobia while walking through the corridors because there's no window and the air is hard to breathe. The door was really difficult to open. The magnetic key was not read on the first try and it happened that I had to insert it up to ten times. It didn't just happen to me, but also to my neighbors since I heard it every time they returned to the room. If these small elements could be fixed, it would make the hotel even more beautiful.
The location was exceptional, super near to Hyde Park. The neighborhood was silent and quiet. Well connected to all transports. The staff was extremely friendly and available. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I recommend it for those who want to spend a few days in London and don't want to spend too much

United KingdomDeceiving! Beautiful Victoria building but the room was tiny we could barely move around the bed between the two of us. The mattress was flat. The bed was so uncomfortable. Floor tiles on en-suite were loose. Sockets on bathroom and room were loose. Towel rail was dirty. Booked with breakfast included and was told to pay extra person on arrival. Parking is a bit hit or miss only a few spaces available for 4hrs pay by phone.
It was located close to hype park
