Pillows to soft. One if the beds the springs had gone so bit uncomfortable

Water pressure in the first floor rooms isn't a good as the ground floor but this is fairly usual in hotels.

Very comfortable and clean room. Recently refurbished bathrooms. The breakfasts are really good and the staff are so helpful and friendly. Rooms are remarkably quiet despite being on the A1. We could clearly see Bamburgh Castle and the sea from our upstairs room which was a real bonus.

The only thing is the sign posting. Google Maps takes you down back country roads, you need to drive through the petrol station to reach Purdy Lodge. Maybes an extra sign to point guests in the right direction?

The bed was unbelievable, super comfortable. Loved having a bath / shower included within my room. The staff were amazing and super friendly. I would definitely recommend. Thank you all.

Lady on reception was very cheerful & friendly The room incl bathroom was very clean. Was also very quiet despite being next to the A1 . We ate in the restaurant in the evening and there was a good choice - it was excellent & good value. So not surprisingly the breakfast was also very good

Nothing to dislike.

Great parking. Lovely room, beautiful view looking over the fields towards the coast and despite its convenient location on the A1 absolutely no traffic noise that we noticed. Breakfast was great for us as a veggie and a carnivore. Staff had got everything ‘just right’. We rarely do return visits but are already looking to book again here with the dog next time.

The cook breakfast was delicious and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The area was perfect for trips out to Bamburgh and other local places. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you 🙂

The only thing i can think of, and its not really even a 'dislike' was the lack of selection of beers. But hey its only a small bar, so I'm nit picking really.

The dinner was fantastic, by far and away the best steak and ale pie with buttered new potatoes and seasonal veg I've ever eaten! the rooms are nice and clean, and again the following day the breakfast was great.

Nice breakfast, comfortable room and apart from some sort of generator humming during the night it was quiet and peaceful.

The shower water pressure was not good, water was only just tepid and would not get warm. The mattress is ready for replacing. Hot water tap on the wash basin did not work properly you had to turn it on and off a few times before the water turned on properly. Think the hotel is ready for refurbishment.

- entrance and walkways carpeting appeared stained/dirty - room locks seemed outdated and not very secure
