Good breakfast & friendly staff

Great location. Short walk into East Cowes, and easy to get water taxi to the more livelier West Cowes.

Ensuite was across a corridor through a fire door. I was not aware of this until I arrived. There were several missing light bulbs in the room and no toilet paper. Food was basic.

Sadly no chef available for lunch and dinner I had hoped to have on site Also, I probably would not have booked had I realised it was a sports bar kind of place. Football on even at breakfast not really my kind of thing

The breakfast was good and the room was nice and clean. Although there was a minor issue with the toilet that kept filling up and emptying on it's own. The one thing I would point out is the rooms are not suitable for anyone who has difficulty climbing stairs as they are on the second floor and only reached by stairs. The Staff were very friendly. There are bus stops directly outside of the Pub , which we found to be the best way of getting around the isle.

Nothing to do in the evenings, bar shut at 9pm and restaurant closed so 15minute walk into "town" and only one dingy pub there. Stayed late October but no heating in rooms so quite cold and as the towels weren't changed every day they did not dry well

Although on main road no traffic noise and bed comfortable. Good bus service from outside the hotel to access the island. Breakfast well cooked and fine for us but would probably not be enough for someone with big appetite

The toilet system in the room was very bad had trouble every time we needed to flush the toilet Breakfast was not that great value was only given a cup of coffee where you would normally get a pot Only one slice of toast on the side of your breakfast and one small pack of butter where I would normally expect a rack of toast and more chance of having more butter was not asked if everything was alright or did we want anything else felt a bit dumped and felt we was a nuisance. The bed was uncomfortable and I feel it needs a new mattress.

Breakfast fairly basic and not the best quality products (sausages) but it was ok. Room next to busy through road so got a bit noisy first thing in the morning.

Breakfast was really good. Staff were soo helpful, We arrived earlier than we was suppose to, and a member of staff came and helped us out so we could get to the Isle of Wight festival on time, so thank you so much for helping us out.

Our room was at the front on the road which was horrendously busy. The breakfast room was basic with sticky wooden table tops, no side plates for toast and the orange juice was stale. I was concerned about security as the staff appeared to be absent overnight. There was an emergency phone number to call if one had problems re-entering the property. Is this even legal on licensed premises ?

Our room was clean and quite comfortable. The cooked breakfast was good. The staff were friendly.

I really have to be super picky to find things that weren’t adequate. Mattress was very soft (personal preference would for it to be firmer) and extractor fan in bathroom was very loud when turned on.

Staff were friendly, room was a good size, shower hot and powerful, provided a fan in the room as it was a bit stuffy without.

The room needed a deep clean amd light bulbs changing etc. The linen amd towels weren't changed throughout our week stay

The walls are very thin, we could hear people in the room next to us + a light was not working in our room and there was a piece missing on the sink

Shower was very very tiny and lots of limescale. The shower head was mouldy. The room and bathroom was not really clean. The room was very bright, the curtains are not blackout. The pub looks very outdated.

The reception and collecting keys from the bar was a bit awkward, would be better if the accommodation reception was seperate. There is space for this, so it should be used

No hot water on arrival had to wait till 5.30pm when they put the boiler on for a shower we had been walking most of the day. Cooked breakfast was cold given meat sausages instead of vegetarian.
