We had a fabulous stay in this gorgeous cottage! If I could have stayed longer I would have. Truly feels like home from home and that’s all down to an amazing host. I’ve stayed in the sister property next door and that was equally just as perfect. Beautifully decorated, super clean and the attention to detail makes for such a memorable stay. Coming to the lakes a few times a year, nothing compares to the properties this host provides.

Beautiful property with everything we needed for our stay, We immediately felt at home. Fantastic location for both Bowness and Windermere or further afield to explore. The little touches such as the packet of Haribo on the kids beds upon arrival or the little dog box and dog treats made it feel extra special. Would absolutely recommend and return to this property

The parking situation wasn't great. Once we moved the car, we didn't get a space near the cottage again after that. The host did offer, on arrival the option of another location but we managed to get parked on the hill and didn't really need to move the car after that.

The cottage was beautiful. Clean & smelled so nice on arrival. Host thought of everything. The shower & bath were brilliant. The beds really well presented & very comfortable.

The Sky reception was a bit hit and miss but that could have been down to the weather. Apart from that everything was spot on.

The cottage was very centrally located within a 10 minute walk to the lake. There was a bus stop at the top of the street if you wanted to go further afield. The cottage was immaculate with modern touches which did not take away it's charm. You can't be on a diet in this cottage as you have a big bar of chocolate and a pack of chocolate chip cookies awaiting your arrival!! I would definitely recommend Pottery Gate for a break in Bowness-On-Windermere.

Parking is first come first serve but there is parking around the area; garden held closed by bike chain (without a lock)

Nothing, I couldn't fault it.

This is just a perfect little cottage right in the heart of Bowness, it had everything we needed and was a lovely place to come back to at the end of the day and relax. The communication from the host prior to our visit was great and was very accommodating, providing a cot for my baby and a box of goodies for our two dogs.

We had two cars so parking was difficult for the one without the parking permit but that was only because of the close proximity to the town centre.

The cottage is cosy, beautifully furnished and decorated. Claire, the host, left welcome gifts for us and our dog and was always really helpful. It is literally 100 yards from Bowness.

The house is tastefully decorated. It is fully equipped and very clean. Guests will not find anything they need missing. Claire even provided complimentary coffee pods and tea. We are very satisfied with our stay and plan to return in the future.

Steps at front of Pottery gate are lethal when wet /after rain - no good for elderly or disabled. Fridge door kept swinging opening (door broken) so the fridge didn’t get fully cold. Key for gate was bent and difficult to use at first.

The property is absolutely stunning and just what we wanted from our stay in the lakes. As soon as you enter the home it oozes cosiness and facility wise has everything you need. The biscuits and sticky toffee were a lovely touch!!

Lovely, relaxing cottage, it was out 2nd visit and we have booked again for February. Clare the host is very helpful and accommodating. Absolutely perfect, especially enjoy a relaxing bath every night while watching a little tv. Myself and my husband and two fur babies love this place.
