Fantastic dog friendly cottage with a beautiful and exceptionally clean interior and cosy atmosphere. Excellent communication from Claire the host. We enjoyed playing the family games provided and the treats on arrival were such a nice gesture. Perfect location for our family.

Difficult access for 90 year old lady. Fighting for parking close to house. We paid the 3 day parking as there is no guaranteed space.

minor problem with the key safe which was a bit fiddly but I got it to work without having to contact the owner .

the house was very tastefully furnished, well equipped and comfortable. I would love to relocate the bathroom to my own home, especially the TV at the end of the bath !!

We had a fabulous stay in this gorgeous cottage! If I could have stayed longer I would have. Truly feels like home from home and that’s all down to an amazing host. I’ve stayed in the sister property next door and that was equally just as perfect. Beautifully decorated, super clean and the attention to detail makes for such a memorable stay. Coming to the lakes a few times a year, nothing compares to the properties this host provides.

Beautiful property with everything we needed for our stay, We immediately felt at home. Fantastic location for both Bowness and Windermere or further afield to explore. The little touches such as the packet of Haribo on the kids beds upon arrival or the little dog box and dog treats made it feel extra special. Would absolutely recommend and return to this property

The parking situation wasn't great. Once we moved the car, we didn't get a space near the cottage again after that. The host did offer, on arrival the option of another location but we managed to get parked on the hill and didn't really need to move the car after that.

The cottage was beautiful. Clean & smelled so nice on arrival. Host thought of everything. The shower & bath were brilliant. The beds really well presented & very comfortable.

We had some trouble parking when we first arrived (it can be tricky to find a spot if you arrive late in the evening). However, Claire was able to help us park at a nearby spot, so problem solved.

Excellent location, clean, and comfortable. The house had many little details that made it special. The rooms were cozy, the bathroom was new and very nice, the kitchen had all we needed, and there were several food items to get us started (coffee pods, milk, chocolate, sweets). Great location from which to walk around Bowness-on-Windermere. Highly recommended for families.

The Sky reception was a bit hit and miss but that could have been down to the weather. Apart from that everything was spot on.

The cottage was very centrally located within a 10 minute walk to the lake. There was a bus stop at the top of the street if you wanted to go further afield. The cottage was immaculate with modern touches which did not take away it's charm. You can't be on a diet in this cottage as you have a big bar of chocolate and a pack of chocolate chip cookies awaiting your arrival!! I would definitely recommend Pottery Gate for a break in Bowness-On-Windermere.

Nothing, I couldn't fault it.

This is just a perfect little cottage right in the heart of Bowness, it had everything we needed and was a lovely place to come back to at the end of the day and relax. The communication from the host prior to our visit was great and was very accommodating, providing a cot for my baby and a box of goodies for our two dogs.
