Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIf we were being fussy, a slightly bigger bed (standard double seems a bit small these days) and similarly, slightly bigger bath towels. But these are tiny issues.
It was a neat and tidy house, close to an interesting town, within easy walking distance. There was parking virtually at the door, and all amenities were there, and very clean.

United KingdomNothing to say!!!
Great location to walk into Framlingham. Super centre for exploring the coast in both directions. Such a clean and comfortable property with lots of ‘touches’ that made it a real home from home.

United KingdomNot much to dislike. The shower room is difficult to keep dry so we had to hang up the floor mat after showering but now i’m nitpicking
The house is lovely, exceptionally clean and tidy. Comprising two good sized double bedrooms, a large lounge, large dining room, a good sized kitchen with washing everything you need to self cater and a shower room too. Theres ample parking for a few cars if needed and the house is a short walk into town. Really liked the place and had the weather been better would have spent some time relaxing in the garden.

United KingdomMy only criticism is that we couldn't find a hair dryer. Other than that the property had everything we needed and more!
The property was very clean and comfortable, it was in a lovely peaceful situation, on the edge of a housing area the property was private. We very much enjoyed watching the wagtails with our 5 year old as they darted around one of the bedroom windows. The property ideal for Nanna who needed a property that was all on one level. We could even get the car close to the property so she didn't need to walk far. We did not need to travel far to find things to do, we soaked in the history of this charming location, and enjoyed browsing the local shops. In the evenings we found Framingham had plenty of places to stroll around (bat spotting at the castle moat!) and lots of pubs!

United KingdomPotters Brook certainly has that WOW factor as you walk through the door. Very peaceful and quiet, perfect for exploring Framlingham and surrounding villages. The living room was large with two comfy sofas and the log burner was an added bonus. The kitchen has everything that you need no matter how long you stay. All in all, a beautiful property, well worth the visit. Will definitely be going back.

United KingdomClare was a really nice and friendly host. We had a great week in Potters Brook. It was perfect for us. The location is great. 10 min walk into Framlingham. We enjoyed looking at the fish and feeding them during the week. We visited numerous places close by during the week we stayed. We really enjoyed the decor and food/drink in The Common Room in Fram. The Station pub was also excellent. Great service and amazing food. Sunday roast was fantastic. Garnetts garden centre was nearby and we bought our winter wallflowers from there. We relaxed most evenings in Potters Brook just reading, watching a DVD and relaxing with a glass of wine. It has a very comfortable lounge with a beautiful log fire. Perfect for us. We hope to go back there soon.

United KingdomNot much to be honest - there's little not to like! I can only recall one issue and that was a shortage of dishwasher tablets, which meant that we had to wash up by hand one night of our weekend stay. Obviously this comes firmly under the category of "first world problems" so there really isn't any cause for complaint. I didn't see a stock of spare toilet rolls, but we didn't run out so again we can't really complain.
What a wonderful place - a real hidden gem! Upon arrival you go rapidly from "what really? Do I have to drive down here because it feels wrong" to "Oh wow, this is magnificent!" An incredibly well-equipped property with lots of nice creature comforts. The rooms are clean, neat, and tidy. The kitchen is immaculate, well-equipped, and more than adequte for any plausible self-catering needs. The lounge is cosy and comfortable, and the wood fireplace is a very lovely touch. The garden goes on, and on, and round, and on. It's not a huge amount of area for the outdoor space, but the fact that it wraps all the way around the property is great for that little extra enjoyment. Feeding the fish is fun too!

United KingdomNothing springs to mind.
The property was very clean and had the feel that it had been well looked after internally / work done on the interior recently. It was a good layout and a nice place to spend time in the evening. The property seemed to be complete in terms of things you might need in terms of in the kitchen or otherwise.
