Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe sofa bed was a bit hard to sleep on but after speaking to Alex we got some duvets to put under the sheet and did the trick It is a bit of a steep hill (not for the faint hearted)and 3 flights of stairs to climb but we were told about the stairs and got used to it so worth it for the amazing view
The view was amazing the penthouse apartment was spotlessly clean and up to date fittings and fixtures

Lovely location in the village of St Auban. The room was large, spacious and really well appointed. Large and very comfortable bed. Free parking just outside the apartment. Nice garden accessible for guests. Proximity to the centre of the village, harbour shops and restaurants. The entire property is really well maintained and the host was very friendly and supper helpful.

United KingdomIf there was one thing, I would say the pillows weren't very comfortable. But the comfort of pillows is a very subjective thing, everyone has their own preference and it didn't detract from the enjoyment of our stay.
The location was perfect, although worth noting it is a short way up a steep hill. The climb is worth it, as the rooms at the front second floor upwards get a sea/bay view. The suites are a short walk from the shops and restaurants of St Aubin, as well as the harbour and bus stops. The hosts were brilliant and extremely helpful. We made them aware we'd be arriving early in the day, and the owner ensured we were allocated a room that was ready for us to use before the official check-in time. A staff member met us and took us to our room, giving us a short introduction to the room's facilities and places of interest locally. St Aubin is very quiet at night and we weren't disturbed at all during our stay.

FranceFor a moment we had regrets that there was no breakfast available, but then we found the Little Gem Beach Café at 4 minutes walking distance, and all was well.
At a few metres from the center of Saint-Aubin, which with its restaurants and shops was quite lively (and noisy) on this last hot summer weekend of the year, it is situated above the fray, quiet, comfortable, with private parking and a splendid view over the bay. For us it was the ideal starting point for two days of swimming, sunbathing, hiking and exploring the island by car.

United KingdomNot much to say on this. Local beer prices are higher than the UK in some pubs.
The apartments are a short walk from the main area and harbour. All the pubs and restaurants are simply 3 minutes away. The location is very quite. There is a back garden if you wish to have a quiet drink prior to venturing out. The local shop is Morrisons (smaller version) just on the corner. The local bus stop is No 15 (also directly from the airport) and into St Hellier (13 minutes). Bike hire again just near by. Bathroom was big and the dressing table made it for my partner. There is a hob if you wish to cook. Wifi was excellent. Great place and the hosts were very welcoming and helpful.

United KingdomSuper clean, spacious and comfortable suite for 2-people. Bed was very comfortable and good quality bedding. Kitchenette was well-stocked for light cooking. Large bathroom with shower and instant hot water. The suite overlooked the lush gardens and access was just next to the suite. Porthole Suites is positioned very close to St.Aubin centre - although up a steep hill! - making it easy to walk down to the small supermarket, cafes and restaurants.
