Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing, all good :)
The bed was very comfy, the tent was spacious and a really nice environment, it came with a cooking stove and a fire pit / bbq, the field was large and peaceful, accommodating for guests and wildlife, great view. Kate was extremely welcoming and then very helpful to lend a hand when we had difficulties with our car. We really appreciated the hospitality and we're very happy with our stay!

United KingdomCompost toilet took a bit of getting used to...
My first experience of glamping - a lovely spacious bell tent in a field with a view, all to myself! Loved the real bed, indoor mini log fire, and all cooking tools provided, even marshmallows and marshmallow sticks! Outdoor cooking over the firepit then laying in a deckchair looking up at the vast starry sky. A lovely retreat from the world.

United KingdomThe shower could use a roof as when you are trying to dry yourself in the rain you’re fighting a losing battle. Ended up a but chilly and had to scurry back to the tent for heat.
The bed was very comfortable. All the essentials were left out like cooking utensils, wood and gas stove. Very handy location which was right next to plev. Kate was super nice. We need more people in the world like kate.

United KingdomUnfortunately we didn’t get chance to try the shower due to mechanical issues but not a problem as we were only there for 2 days. Lots and lots of bugs which Is obviously to be expected.
Lovely area. Beautiful views. Very friendly owner. A very new well rounded experience for us.

United KingdomIt was really lovely, the only slightly tricky part was getting used to the composting toilet, but we got the knack after a few days! Haha!!
We had a lovely peaceful holiday, and the setting was lovely, easy location to travel to lots of south Cornwall’s landmarks with out too much extra time in the car. Lovely hosts, so friendly, welcoming and easy to talk too.

United KingdomThe washing and toilet facilities were very basic, I had misunderstood the listing and thought each bell tent came with its own toilet shower unit as we have had when we have "glamped" in the past. This was my mistake but others should be aware its a walk across a field to the toilet and it is shared with 3 other bell tents. The compost loo is not a long drop compost loo but a bucket with a carrier bag in it under a toilet seat. It is all clean but takes a bit of getting used to! The shower has some quite significant gaps making you feel a little vulnerable when naked! The shower is lovely and hot when it works but there was an issue with the wind direction blowing out the gas leading to a few cold shocks! There are no facilities to keep anything cold such as a communal fridge, cold pack freezer that you get on most campsites. All of this adds to the experience but I would say it is very much camping not glamping and the price felt a little high.
The tent was lovely with comfy beds - the double was a small one! The host Kate was absolutely lovely and could not have been more helpful. The location is about 10 minutes walk into Porthleven with a great view across the valley. Deck chairs and fire pit was super nice for a cozy evening. There is a great little cafe at the bottom of the road that roasts its own coffee beans if you need a caffeine hit. A lovely place to get away from it all.
