Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

This is 2nd time we have been to the Pike and eel this time for 2 nights , we stayed in one of the chalets next to the marina which is perfect for us, it would be perfect if they had a little kitchen area however we had our little stove with us so we cooked breakfast, there is a table + bench just outside the chalet , husband was happy doing a little fishing in the river, there is a nice bar in the main building, there's also a couple of pubs nearby, St Ives town is just a short car ride for more shopping.. We would definitely come back.

United KingdomRoom wasn't completely clean, dusty shelves & dirty floors. Broken blind at window. Needed TLC ,very scuffed skirting & door frames, big crack in main door enough to see light through it. Thin walls so could hear adjacent guests. Limescale encrusted shower head.. plug sockets in random places not convenient for easy use. Daily housekeeping didn't make the beds. Irregular hangers in wardrobe.
Location. Quiet. Friendly staff and excellent food.

United KingdomWe had a dog friendly room that was clean with vinyl flooring which could have done with a rug for when you first get out of bed also some hand rails over the bath to grab to get out of Bath.
Location, peace and quiet. Room was warm and bed comfortable.

United KingdomMenu choices for food of an evening could be better, some dishes sounded far too fancy and not enough choice of pub classic food. Rooms are lovely but walls are thin and my colleague heard either a staff member or another guest talking loudly on the phone at 5:30am in the room next door to her and the call lasted quite some time.
Nice pub, great breakfast although quite expensive at £12.50, lovely location, friendly staff, good choice of beers

United KingdomWe chose the larger bedroom but theres an arch no door to the bathroom. No privacy.
The location was excellent with lovely views and walks. Although a bit flooded we still walked along the bank. Its within easy reach of the coast, St Ives, Ely and Cambridge. We visited all these places. Meals really nice. Breakfast excellent

United KingdomIt was lovely at the end of a long road. By a river although a bit full at the time after all the rain we’d been having. Our room was comfortable and warm enough and very quiet! It would be nice to visit later in the year!

United KingdomTowel rail was far too hot: could not touch it! In the morning all sorts of noises through the wall is someone showering and from below loud footsteps on the wooden floor clearly audible in the room along with the noise of some sort of pump. Rest of it was great, but these things really need fixing.
Lovely location.

AustriaThe room appeared a little dated. We were in a separate annex with the dog and the plumbing wasn’t great. Bath took ages to fill, appeared to be draining away the water, and the sink kept blocking.
Location was near St Ives, a lovely town. It was very picturesque on the marina. The room was spacious and quiet. The hotel bar very friendly and staff welcoming and helpful.
