Ideally located in beautiful village of Polperro with easy access to Looe and surrounding villages. Really beautiful part of the UK. Wonderful choices for Breakfast, superbly cooked by Chris. We were looked after really well by the owners Anna and Chris, and not forgetting the very friendly dog Nalla.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Everything. A genuinely friendly hotel - the location (with parking) cannot be beaten. Room clean, comfortable and well equipped. Heating controllable by the guest. Great sitting room and bar on site. Breakfast choice very comprehensive - we don't have much for breakfast but all the cooked food being produced looked great. All the staff we met including the owner were friendly, helpful and approachable.

The only recommendations we would make is that the closing time at the bar says ‘open til bed time’, but as everyone has different bedtimes I think guests were too hesitant to use it especially when you have to ring for attention / service. We would very happily have used the bar if we knew there was a cut off time. Also we were given time slots to chose from for our breakfast and we chose the latest time of 9.15am. We enjoyed our breakfast both mornings and we went back to our room about 45-60mins later on both mornings. Then the cleaner was knocking on our door about 10 minutes later. Maybe the cleaning staff could be informed what guest’s breakfast time slots are so that the guests have a chance to get prepared in their room without feeling they have to rush.

Breakfast was lovely. Facilities were very clean and homely. Love that they make dogs feel very welcome.

Hospitality, exceptional. Breakfast, superb. Room size quite small, a bit uncomfortable -but the availability of the downstairs lounge area fit the bill very nicely. The cheery innkeeper was a wonderful source of information, and even went extra by driving us to the bus stop up the hill. Couldn’t ask for anything more.

It was all fantastic.

The location is wonderful, just a short walk from the harbour. Our room was perfectly appointed with everything we could possibly need, and we were warmly greeted for an early check in after travelling down in the small hours (thank you Anna!). The breakfast was, by some margin, the very best hotel breakfast we have ever had - and we have stayed in a broad range of hotels and do not make that statement lightly! The beautiful local produce, the home made compotes and fruits, the skilled cooking and presentation, the unintrusive yet attentive service - all of it cannot be faulted.
