Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

United KingdomThe dining chairs were heavy on the back rest so they tended to fall back easily. There was no storage space for clothes in the small bedroom as the cupboard was filled with cleaning stuff and vacuum cleaner.
The location was good and convenient. The layout was good. The management was responsive in attending to some small issues.

SingaporeWashing machine was not clean. 2nd bedroom double bed was small, no bedside table next to it. Wardrobe was used to keep washing supplies and vacuum cleaner so not usable. Carpet I 2nd bedroom worn and stained. Bathroom door has coloured glass panels which means there's no privacy when using the bathroom at night with lights on. Should just put a curtain on.
Excellent location. Good size and well equipped kitchen and sitting area with cable TV. Good WiFi. Plenty of extension cords. Good heating. Generous size bathroom. Very comfortable bed in the main bedroom.

Very good location - handy for shops & cafes - but pretty quiet at night. Flat was very spacious, warm and clean. Plus it’s possible to buy parking permits by the day through the property management

SwitzerlandShared entrance with other flats was dirty. Moldy smell in the flat which we couldn't get rid of (even with airing). The windows were quite heavy and difficult to open. No Information about Bristol could be found in the guest book.
Quiet location. Nice, old building. Bus-and train station is a 5 minute walk away. Excellent shower. Nice kitchen and living room area (clean). Organisation and Information from the Flat administration was great.

United KingdomEntry porch is grim, looks like it hasn't seen proper cleaning or attention in years. The shower unit has black mould growing which meant we chose not to use the shower during our 3 night stay.
Flat has beautiful spacious rooms that collect light and are pleasant to be in. Kitchen is well equipped and the location is fantastic.

PolandU can change some furnitures e.g. chaires. I know these were clean and u make everything in the most perfect way you can, but first impression of that was not nice. Everything else was perfect :)
The apartament was very bigger than I expected, and in great localization. It was clean and very cosy. Plus u write everything very clearly in case of any emergency. I hope we will return here in the future.

Very complicated SamsungTV system - couldn’t watch normal TV which wouldn’t usually be important but due to health issues my parents had to spend evenings in the flat so would’ve liked to watch it.
