Cleanliness, there are many flies in my room, the mattress is not a full double bed but 2 single bed joint together.

Staff is very friendly and helpful.

The price speaks for Itself it does need some work doing. The team were aware and offered a free drink at check in. The room was clean. The hotel does need to sort out the bedding people need 2 pillows and our pillows were like sand bags.

Great location close to everything and probably the best value hotel in Southend travelodge is more expensive and not as good. The staff are always very friendly and helpful which makes it. Balcony was a nice feature

Reception was not very friendly. Some stains on the floor and had to ask for more milk and coffee as was not replemished.

The location was great and they allowed dogs. Loved the dog bed and water bowl in room. The bar was good and bar staff friendly.

The room carpets were old. A fridge could have been added.

Location next to the pier. Views from the hotel of the south end on sea pier. Breakfast was good with the pier views. Great to stay with kids as near to all the fun activities. I had an issue with my family room. Staff were proactive in sorting it out and gave me a breakfast voucher to make up for the issue.

Upgraded our room but the email didn't tell you it was per night and not just one amount.. And though it was for a superior room but it was for sea view.

    Well located

Room 523 had a very stained carpet and little atmosphere. A bath robe would have been useful (guess discontinued due to theft?)

The staff were great, friendly, helpful and apologies when things weren’t up to their standards, Especially the regular guy on the front desk (Callum?) fantastic sea views and quiet! Freshly cooked breakfast and muesli with all the extras - breakfast with a view was a joy.

Only one pillow provided (I know you could ask for more but it seemed a bit of a faff), due to Health and Safety reasons there was no access to the balcony, bar staff member was a bit rude.

Excellent seafront location, good sized room and comfortable bed.

We were not initially given the room we had booked, though our room was changed when we complained. i think this was because we had booked via Booking.com. In general room and hotel decor is very tired and needs a refresh. Breakfast service on Sunday morning was not as good as on Saturday - the buffet choices were not replenished very quickly.

Seafront location was convenient to town and a short walk to the Cliffs Pavillion. Our corner room was very clean and had a lovely Seaview. Tho we overlooked the amusement park, we were not too bothered by noise after 10 p.m. The gym is well-stocked and not very busy. The buffet breakfast was excellent - a lot of choice and eggs cooked to order.

Lack of furniture on the balcony, not enough seating in the room, Duvert was a little too small for the bed and not enough pillows.

Location and friendly staff, Jason in the bar went outof his way to help find the right things for us, Lily and Callum in the office were great too

Room 310, Simple things like on arrival the window had cobwebs (old cobwebs) in both top corners, i cleaned them myself. The sink strainer was not sealed and the plug did not fit correctly so every time you wanted a wash or shave you filled the sink and it just drained away itself , had to keep running the tap continually !! Had a shower, applied hair shampoo fine, tried conditioner it was empty had not been checked or re-filled. No maid service during our stay, we had a 3 night stay, tea/coffee was provided for one day never replenished, had no change of towelling during our stay, room never tidied !!! First breakfast visit, the only hot food in the containers/trays were sausages, waited for more food to come, it did not, ended up with a sausage sandwich. Simple basic things !!!

Location, access to seafront, shops, walks etc. Served a very nice Fish and Chip meal, beer choice okay in bar.

It would have been nice to have furniture on the balcony. Even a chair would have been better than nothing at all. Fridge in the room would be good and maybe a couple of comfortable chairs rather than just the one. More pillows needed we had one hardish pillow and one soft one between two of us. Also the duvet was a double and the bed was king size so a bigger duvet would have been more appropriate. No biscuits in the rooms and not enough milk cartons but they did send us more as the staff are great. Maybe time to ditch all the sewing kits and shoe shine lads and focus on the basics like milk, fridge, better drink options and matching mugs but overall not a bad situation.

Excellent location and great sea views from the room we had We upgraded to a balcony which was great Bed was comfortable
