The restaurant was disappointing. We have been coming here for years because the restaurant was so good. But now it is just adequate. Also the remodeling means that there are far fewer tables by the windows, which is the main feature of the place.

Breakfast was disappointing. scrambled eggs underdone. no orange juice

The heat and noise from endless passing traffic was unbearable in the first room we had above the Glue Pot Inn the first night. We hardly slept. We requested a move and were given the triple glazed balcony room for the second night. A lot better as we could open the door till bed time to let cooler air in and then traffic noise was cut out with the triple glazed door. The meals were very slow in arriving and pretty average. Had to haul suitcases up the stairs.

The view from the balcony room was stunning. The decor was modern. Great shower and soft bed.

We had booked a table for our first night and was very disappointed in the meal. The meal arrived less than 5 minutes from ordering so hadn't been made fresh. I had the salmon which was dry. The breakfast was slightly disappointing as the coffee was awful and the scrambled eggs were cold. The toast had hardly seen a toaster, more like warm bread. Best part was the porridge and full scottish breakfast.

The room was lovely and had an amazing view. We particularly liked the blackout blind. Overall we slept really well.

Not the cleanest, we had to get someone to go in a clean up some spills in the room. Plus also when we were checked in someone was still hovering our room. Rooms in the bottom level are smaller and feel like a basement, I would book a sea view in future.

Location was beautiful, staff were friendly and helpful.

Minor issues really; Our TV didn't work, signal problems. The hotel was aware and awaiting a visit from an engineer. The movement sensored security flood lighting in the car park lit up the room quite brightly at points throughout the night and woke us up. The walls between rooms were thin and other guests could be easily heard so we were thankful not to have too noisy neighbours.

Firstly the staff, they were so friendly and professional and couldn't do enough for you. The seafront location has to be mentioned, nicely facing west for sunsets from the restaurant. The room was a nice size with comfortable beds, ours overlooked the car park. The bathroom was snug but very functional with a nice accessible shower. The food needs to be mentioned. We had our evening meal in the restaurant and it was of very good quality and beautifully cooked. Breakfast again was superb. The staff ran around keeping you topped up with whatever you wanted. Cooked to order off a menu plus a buffet of cerials and fruits.

Though large menu, a limited selection of lighter/salad options, though scallops and mussels were excellent. Food generally excellent.

Excellent new rooms, recently added, with wonderful sea views. Very welcoming and effective staff, both in reception and restaurant

Looked and felt recently refurbished to a good standard within the accommodation and restaurant areas but paint work had been damaged slightly, needed a little touch up. No bottled water. Staff a little unprofessional :- check-in - payment details not updated dinner - we were directed to the restaurant only to be sent back to the bar area to be seated. The restaurant/breakfast area had a bit of a canteen feel, needs some plants/pictures.

The staff were very friendly, welcoming and hard working. The room was clean, comfortable and usual facilities. The dinner/breakfast menu had a nice choice and very tasty.

Room we were in was hard up against the laundry and we actually felt the vibrations from the washing machine and it seemed to be on pretty early. Mattresses were ok but a bit spongy/ bouncy. Hotel at junction of main road to Oban and to Fort William. Very busy and a lot of traffic noise, though ok overnight.

Staff were lovely and views over the water and towards the islands were stunning.
