It was a little bit far from the centre of Oxford, where my conference was, but that is not the fault of the lodge. The lodge was lovely

The stuff were so kind I went to Saint Maria and a lovely young man. I think his name was.Theio and the beds were very comfortable and the pillows were nice and my room looked over a leafy garden. It was just lovely thank you to the staff for their kindness and help

Room was very basic and a bit crammed but there aren't many hotels in Oxford that offer family apartments/ rooms. We had a family room.

Amazing staff, very helpful with directions Breakfast was also great, good value and lots of options

Junior staff should take note of special requests when allocating rooms!

Very friendly and accommodating staff who managed to find us a room with a shower for the second night as requested. This room was in a newer wing and was very comfortable and quiet. The hotel was in a perfect location near Wolfson College and the breakfast was plentiful and varied and there was parking round the back.

The food was awful. Breakfast 'hot' buffet was tepid. Evening meals poor.

Blissfully quiet. I slept like a top. Excellent location in quiet residential street, but close to good bus service.

Great location for visiting Oxford, hotel is as you’d expect from a chain hotel. It was clean, comfortable, room was large and had everything we needed. Buffet breakfast had a wide range of options cooked and continental. There was a onsite bar and restaurant although we choose to eat out. There was a really great pizza place about 10 min walk away called Little Venice, there were two great old fashioned pubs on the same little street, well worth a visit. The hotel is also 5 houses away from Tolkiens house, a good spot for any fans.

The shower door needs to be repaired. A nice touch would have been to offer a complimentary breakfast.

The Linton Lodge is an older, clean, accommodating hotel. The beds were comfortable, and the room was large. The bathroom was clean, but the shower door would not close properly. There was a fan in the room, which we appreciated. We drove into Oxford and had to pay for parking, which was not a surprise. We did not partake of the breakfast. It was not complimentary and cost over 15 EUR. The hotel is on a quiet street and is not far from the town center. Overall, it was a comfortable stay at a good price.

Breakfast was okay but not great. There were some maintenance issues (bathroom hardware falling off). Tiny shower. Batteries in remote need to be changed. The facilities were not worth the price I paid.

Location was further from Town. Comfortable beds.

Nice stay spoiled by very noisy neighbours.

Our room was in a very noisy area of the hotel. There were no signs asking guests to respect others who may be asleep. As a result we were subject to guests speaking at the top of their voices outside our room, and to heavy internal doors banging in the night. Our room was room 11, ground floor just off reception. Spoke to reception team but it made no difference.

Good location for getting into the centre. Breakfast was good. Staff friendly.

Carpet in the ground floor hallways was rippling, which is a pity for the appearance. As described above, there is no airconditioning which worried me when I saw the weather forecast before our stay, but it was no problem for our ground floor room. The room had windows that opened to the garden so plenty of fresh air could flow in. Insect screens could enhance this.

Our experience was better than expected based on the reviews I read beforehand. The hotel is not new but we found it quite charming. The residential area around the hotel is fantastic, beautiful and quiet, with an easy bus trip into Oxford centre and shops and restaurants walking distance in the other direction (in Summertown). Our car was safely parked behind the hotel. Though it was 30 degrees Celsius when we stayed, we didn't really miss airconditioning because we had a relatively cool room on the ground floor. We enjoyed reading in the garden after our day trip.
