The breakfast was delicious, very varied, they had no issue adapting for dietary restrictions and most importantly it kept me going through a whole day of hiking. The owner was really nice and everything was clean and cozy and I loved all the little details.

No parking on site although I found a space across the road. Slippy floor mat at doorway of room. Very steep stairs inside wouldn’t be suitable for everyone. (Description says “upper floors accessible by stairs only”, but all three rooms are upstairs, so there’s actually no suitable accommodation for anyone who can’t climb steep stairs.) King room wasn’t large - the bed took up most of the room, but fine for a couple of nights.

Very comfortable room with everything you normally get in a hotel room, but don’t always get in a B&B. Better breakfast than some hotels I’ve stayed in! Great bed. Excellent tea and coffee tray which was restocked for my second day. Powerful shower and decent size cubicle -better than some hotels.

A very, very minor thing is the room was quite small. But that is absolutely just looking for ‘something’ to write in this box!

The attention to detail was incredible. The hosts had thought of things we might need, that would never have occurred to us!! The breakfast was also 10/10, all freshly prepared including fruit salad with loads of different fruit and a hot breakfast cooked to the guest’s personal tastes. This hotel is one of the best places we have ever stayed!

Delightful room, delicious breakfast, spotless throughout and very pleasant hostess. We would stay again and highly recommend the Outlander to anyone heading to Cruden Bay.

The room was very well decorated, comfortable and clean. I had a wonderful night's sleep, with the sea breeze coming in through the window. Breakfast was amazing, the choice of food on offer is plentiful and the cooked option was yummy. The host is a delightful person, so helpful and attentive. Honestly one of the nicest places I've been to in a long time!

This is personal thing. I know that hosts have to do it because of the inconsideration of some ignorant customers, but I hate the plethora of notices telling you what and what not you can do, i understand the reasons but…

Blanket alternative to a heavy duvet would have been good (Genny took the duvet out of its cover for us - we have done that sort of thing before) A wee night light in the toilet as it was totally dark when I needed to go through the night! These are very picky comments I know, sorry.

Decor and comfort excellent, breakfast too. Location ideal. Host couldn't be better :)

Amazing communication from Genny. The bedroom suit was amazing, we couldnt love it more. Everything was easy and well organized. Location and the city was great to relax and enjoy. It was a wonderful stay. And we’re definitely coming back :)
