Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomSofa bed was very difficult to put together. Would prefer chairs at the table. Path and car park were flooded, we got soaked feet trying to pack up the car with no dry land available. Stiff door meaning we couldn’t get in at first and had to ask for help from the pub and a broken bottom step which I had to be very careful carrying the baby over that I didn’t slip or trip.
Very sweet location, play park next door was an added bonus :) warm and cosy. Selection of board games and brochures readily available. Pub very helpful next door offering milk if needed and help with entry. Very clean and very spacious. Loved not having a TV :)

United KingdomThe beds squeaked and creaked all night, maybe a rug under the beds to stop them sliding on the wooden floor when you turn over in your sleep would help.
The Outdoor Inns cabin is beautifully laid out, 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms, and a beautiful open and airy communal area with a sofa bed. Family games supplied and useful leaflets available. Everything is clean, tidy and practical. The owners could not have been more helpful. The pub- The Lidgate Star- on our doorstep that we were encouraged to support was lovely and served delicious food. There was even a play area next door, the kids loved it.

United KingdomThe access to the pods is by way of short flight of wooden steps to veranda which may prove difficult for some disabled persons.
Returning guests. These glamping pods are on the site of a historic pub The Star at Lidgate where the menu and service is excellent, The pods (x2) are located in the pub garden amidst trees and farmers fields. Very convenient for Newmarket and Bury St. Edmunds (A14) Lidgate has an historic church and castle (remains) which are on a designated footpath from the pub. The pods are spacious and will easily accommodate six persons with two en-suite shower rooms.

United KingdomRegret, access to units is not easy for guests with walking difficulties with steep steps to veranda. This is also the emergency exit. There is no disabled access and this may prove difficult for a wheel-chair user. Caution city dwellers - these are all narrow country roads - watch out for the occasional tractor/combine, especially in the harvest season.
Our second visit. This is 10/10 glamping at it's best. The units are well appointed with everything and more you would expect in a Self Catering B&B. These are timber buildings and a new experience (good) from being surrounded by bricks and mortar. The location is superb in a garden setting. The bar and food in the adjacent pub is excellent served in a really true country pub atmosphere. Dogs (well behaved) are welcome. Lovely walks around this historic village. Good location for Newmarket and Bury St. Edmunds, both about 30 min. drive.

United KingdomAll the are single which was fine for our group but.might not suit someone on the larger or taller side. No TV in the lodges. Which again was not a negative for us at all, But others may prefer a TV.,
Quirky cabins just behind The Star pub. Very clean and well designed. Loved that there was a shower room for each bedroom. We had a lovely stay..

United KingdomThere was 6 of us staying and only 3 mugs, I appreciate maybe it's meant for 4 people to stay but on the occasions you do have more it would be good to all be able to have a cuppa at the same time! The heating was great in fact it was too warm but we didn't kniw how to turn it down without Messing up the settings so maybe basic instru tions would be helpful as at night it was very warm. We returned at 7pm on one of our evenings and were not able to oark as the oub was busy and even though we were staying there was no designated parking place for the cabln which was an issue.
The property was clean and met our needs.

United KingdomFor wine drinkers, big plastic tumblers not ideal. Maybe plastic flutes as we were celebrating a birthday with champagne as many people might do.
Location next to the pub, brilliant. Quiet, full of nature. Outside space, terrace. Two rooms, two bathrooms, excellent, kitchen well equipped.
