To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomThe room was disappointing. We had no view what-so-ever. The window was frosted glass! We were obviously over the kitchen because all we could hear all night was constant humming noises (i'm guessing from the refridgeration). We were also awoken by crates being rolled about early in the morning! For a hotel of such class, it was very disappointing. We also had a drink in the bar on the first night. A nice young man took our order, gave it to the girl behind the bar, who then got it ready and left it at the end of the bar for the young man to serve us. We waited about 10 minutes and we still hadn't been served, so I fetched it myself. For the cost of the 2 drinks being £18+, we expect A1 service!
The hotel itself was lovely and clean and most of the staff were very pleasant. The breakfast was nice.

United KingdomThere wasn't the wines available that we wanted in both the Champagne Bar and the Restaurant and we had to choose an alternative. Perhaps the wine list needs updating? It was a glorious day when we were there and sat outside of the Champagne Bar with our wine. We sat opposite the fountain on the metal chairs. Unfortunately there were no cushions on the chairs which didn't make them very comfortable. I did ask a member of staff for cushions but was told that she didn't know where they were and none did appear!
The room was a good size. The evening meal we had in the restaurant was excellent. Unfortunately the breakfast wasn't quite as good but it was ok.

United KingdomWe had a meal in the restaurant in the evening. Was very disappointed. Mu husband ordered fish and chips. If a top restaurant can't get fish and chips right it's time to change the chef! the chips were over done and the fish was also over done. I say fish, there was little of it ad it was all batter. My daughter and her husband stayed some weeks ago on our recommendation. Loved the hotel but did not enjoy the restaurant either. The service is very slow. There was one waiter taking the orders on all the tables which took up alot of time. We waited a while just to order drinks. We thought we would give the restaurant the benefit of doubt when my daughter said it was not enjoyable but, she was correct. We won't be eating in there again when we visit next. We love this hotel it's just a shame the restaurant lets it down.
A warm welcome by the reception staff. Loved the spa area and champagne bar. The breakfast had a very large variety of food to choose from.

United KingdomThe only reason this isn’t a 10 for me was the service in the restaurant was quite slow on a Tuesday evening - the restaurant itself was not even half full but I had to ask multiple times for tap water and a glass of wine which was a shame. The food however was lovely!
Lovely spa facilities (I only used the pool but it was great!) and good sized rooms for an overnight stay. Staff were very friendly!

United KingdomMy husband and i upgraded the room, however was little disappointed. We didn't think this was value for money. We were in an interconnected room and felt this wasn't that private. We could hear the other couple talking therefore i would assume they could hear us. The bed was not comfortable and for the money we paid we wouldn't advise anyone else to upgrade based on our stay.
Hotel's beautiful, enjoyed the facilities and spa area. Food was very nice.

United KingdomThe only shortcoming was the lack of appropriate hanging space in the wardrobe solved by removing the ironing board completely and losing it in the room. For one night stays not a problem but longer than that it was. No drawers in dressing table or either of the bed side tables added to our surprise.
Breakfast - superb choice including full English and specials by request. Gluten free catered for on request. Room - no problem for a disabled visitor with comfortable bed and equally comfortablle arm chairs. Large TV. Dinner - a highlight was the standard of meals and including for GF.. Access was excellent for the disabled with shallow permanent ramp to the front entrance. Lifts to first floor helpful. Parking for disabled was mimimal at some 6(?) spaces such that we had to "drop" and park elsewhere for two of our three nights. We are aware there were other but less convenient blue badge parking for us to the rear.
