Well situated for what I needed. Very friendly, helpful and welcoming hosts. B&B was comfortable, clean, quiet, and great breakfast. Parking opposite was a bonus. The fridge and coffee machine in room and ability to use microwave downstairs could be really useful, although I didn't need it this time. Appreciated fair trade tea, coffee and sugar and proper milk in room.

Clean and immaculate room with cooked breakfast, dedicated parking and caring hosts.

An excellent property in the town centre with dedicated parking, closer to facilities. The room is very comfortable, cosy with immaculate and clean linen, tea, coffee, biscuits. Cooked English breakfast with lots of choice. A value for money. Would be booking again.

The hosts are the nicest most welcoming couple I have ever met, the room was cozy and very clean with a coffee machine! Breakfast as absolutely perfect with eggs sunny side! 100% recommended and 100% will be back asap!

My room was perfect for me as a single traveller, however, the lack of toilet door means that I might not have been so comfortable if I was sharing the same room with another person. There was a faint background hum in the room, I initially thought that the sound was from the mini fridge and thus unplugged it, that made no difference, the sound appeared to be coming from outside the room. It wasn't a loud noise, it didn't disturb my sleep, and it wouldn't deter me from staying again as the room was great value, however, if the owners could remove the source of it then the experience of staying would be even better..

Very friendly welcome, advice provided about dining out, travelled for work so was up and out before breakfast time, however, was kindly sent on my way with a lovely breakfast butty each morning (thank you for that)

Our second visit to Osborne House. It is superbly located in the town centre of Workington which is ideal for our needs. The owners Di and Rob are excellent hosts and their attention to detail is outstanding. We have no hesitation in recommending this excellent B&B and are looking forward to our next visit.

Osborne House is delightful and the owners, Di and Rob were very welcoming. The room was cosy with en-suite shower room, good selection of teas and coffee and very comfortable bed. Breakfast was great, quality fresh farm produce served in the dining room with feature log-burning stove. Parking was convenient with allocated spaces just opposite the B&B. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area, first rate!

Okay, so Workington isn't on everyone's bucket list of places to spend their valuable holiday time. But if you do find yourself pitching up there I think you'll be hard-pressed to find a friendlier, more stylish guesthouse than this one. The hosts were that perfect blend of being welcoming without being imposing. Their knowledge of the area was helpful and they kept tabs on whether I had everything I needed. The house itself is a magnificent Georgian townhouse, positioned quite unexpectedly close to the main shopping area of the town. The free parking was just across the road. The breakfast was generous and delicious. Sausage and bacon sourced locally and cooked perfectly - the bacon trimmed of its fat which, for me, is a rare find. Free range eggs, mushrooms, beans, roasted cherry tomatoes and plenty of toast (black pudding too, if you like that sort of thing). To wash it down there was a cafetière of very decent coffee and orange juice. That was more than enough for me but I could have had cereal, yoghurt, fresh fruit salad and other bits and pieces. They don't provide evening meals - and why would they? It's a B&B - but they did set a place in the dining room so I could bring back a take-away. I can't praise this place highly enough. If you want to visit the lakes but don't want to pay Lake District prices, I don't think you'll find a better B&B.
