Breakfast times could be later, it was 7.30am to 8.45am, as we had been out until late the night before I would have preferred the option for a later breakfast.

The hotel was in a good location, onsite parking was great as I did not have to worry about my car whilst out. Staff were very friendly and helpful. For the price the hotel met expectations.

Breakfast vert good, juice, tea/ coffee, toast, cereal, fruit, yoghurt and choice of cooked I.e scrambled egg, full English. Walking distance to. metro stop and bus stop outside. Bar available and lounge a well as option for a n evening meal. Outdoor space at front. Owner very knowledgeable on local transport and whet to see, very helpful and accommodating.

The hotel on a whole was just outdated, there was woodlice in our room, the blinds didn’t really block out the light/sun. When we arrived the front door was locked, it didn’t feel very welcoming. For £160 a night, I wasn’t impressed.

The bed was comfy.

I, personally, didn't think the bed was very comfortable however, my husband thought it was fine, so perhaps it was just me!

The owner and all the staff were really friendly and attentive. We loved the vibe of the place and felt really welcome. We would return if back in the area.

Unfortunately the day we stopped there wasa problem with plumbing so could not have a bath or shower. It was just one of those things. I would defo stop again next time Im in that area.

Duvet wasn’t very clean but to be fair I didn’t mention it as was too tired to go back downstairs so didn’t give an opportunity to rectify and we’re waiting email receipt but staff were friendly and accommodating. Room was light and a good size. Bath was ok but mouldy around the taps needs a little TLC

The location may be difficult to rate as it was 45 minute walk from our conference venue so not the hotel’s fault but it was an ok walk- breakfast was nice.

The owner and staff were very friendly Owner bought it in 2017 and has done great work making it friendly and warm we will be back. Breakfast was lovely and included in the price. We were going to a liverpool game so we never stopped for dinner but it looked nice what we did see.. Great value for money

Pillows and room had an odour when we arrived, cigarette stub left in room on top of radiator, light on entrance not working, not enough hanging hooks in the bathroom, large stain on ceiling near entrance.

Easy access to the city centre and motorway. Restaurant had good choice of food in the evening, great venue, staff very attentive.

I've noticed that the cleaning standards have started to go down hill. Which is a shame for its a lovely place to stay in. Its heart breaking especially when you are looking forward to staying there.

Electric shower was poor; variable heat levels very low power. Very busy in the restaurant in the evening, I felt this was the bore business, hotel residents came second.
