Blinds on velux windows in living area would be useful , woken to early by daylight, it was very warm during our stay, a fan would have been welcome.

Not a reflection on the Nook but next time would definitely drive as not very good to rely on public transport or taxi the whole time

There was no cold drinking water due to the only source of water being a mixer tap with a sensor. The owner said The Nook is a converted tea house and the sink was designed just for washing hands, hence the presence of a mixer tap, she apologised for the lack of cold water, which she had been meaning to rectify, and said future guests would be informed. Being a townie I was annoyed at the lack of cold drinking water, but when I'd got off my high horse I realised that I was being hyper-critical and just went out and bought some bottled water instead. When I booked the venue we thought it was a B&B, but once the booking had gone through I saw that no meals were being provided. This made me a little sad as the breakfast reviews had been so good, but a small tea shop 10 minutes away in Port Isaac called the The Cornish Cove made an excellent alternative.

The location was very central for easy travel to Port Isaac and other areas of interest. The venue also provided good off road parking. The Nook was more basic than I expected, and sits beside a road that's fairly busy during the day, but very quiet at night. When we arrived I wasn't all that sure about the accommodation, but it grew on me and turned out to be a great base for our daily excursions. There's a big screen tv with access to a Netflix account, a fridge, microwave, coffee machine (bring your own grounds) and kettle. The shower was hot and hand soap supplied. There is is a good sized patio with an outdoor oven, a large private grassed area adjoining the property where there's plenty of room to kick around a football, also a good view of the surrounding farmland. The owner was very helpful, friendly and a good communicator and thoughtfully brought round a lovely bowl of choccies on our last day, which was a nice touch.

Very comfy bed, spotlessly clean room. Good shower. Toaster, microwave, TV, fridge all included. Lovely spacious patio & garden areas - ideal in the warmer months! Really well thought out decor & lighting - felt very homely. Short drive to the beaches and other local amenities.

Location was perfect, as just 5-6 minute drive to Polzeath, Port Isaac and Port Quin. Cosy apartment and very warm. Amazing coastal walks nearby. Coop just 5 minutes drive away. Milk in the fridge was appreciated for arrival cup of tea! Tea and coffee also provided but no sugar. I had some sachets fortunately

Conveniently located to everything. The host was very helpful with questions and directed us to a local shop when we asked. We couldn't figure out how to lock the door, and she came over to show us.

A bit remote , so a car needed to get to and from it. The other thing....it is a large studio..so something like a paravan/screen to separate the sleeping area from the dining area would be good

Nothing everything was amazing

We loved this quirky, spotlessly clean, spacious accommodation with it own private garden with a bbq and pizza oven. We had a great two night stay, Zoe the host was lovely. There was also milk in the fridge. Everything was just right, we used it to visit Port Isaac, Polzeath and Tintagel Castle and Padstow. You get beautiful views from the accommodation with its own private parking. The Wi-Fi was very good and fast which was a bonus as I know the local area for Wi-Fi is not that great The large flat screen TV with guest access to Netflix was great to relax in the evening after spending all day out. I would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Breakfast was not offered; this is self catering (as expected) . The room was enormous and split into three areas, sleeping, lounge and kitchen diner. Very specifically for a person on their own or for a couple. Spotlessly clean and bright; lovely mood lighting. great controllable heating and instant hot water. the book is a building on the side of the cottage with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The nook was also very spacious inside, clean, bed was comfortable and we had no complaints. added bonus was Netflix on the to so we could chill in the evenings after a busy day sightseeing.
