Bathrooms weren’t always clean, no staff available on site, communal facilities neglected, would be a better stay if you have a car. We mentioned prior to arrival that we will require the bedding packages as we are travelling and when we arrived there was nothing to be found. We had to rush to the nearest camping store before it closed to get a sleeping bag for the night. Wasn’t a big deal for us and we ended up saving a lot of money but I can imagine this would annoy some people.

Was a great little getaway for the weekend! The pods were clean, spacious for 2 people, and safe!

Price is bit misleading, had to pay extra for bedding, bit hard to see code lock on toilet door in the middle of the night. Having own toilet would have been preferable rather than having to walk to shower block. Bit of long walk if you are staying in pods at the back.

Great location, straight off main road, next to a Greggs and a Burger King. Very pretty site, lots of facilities, spotlessly clean, cute little fairy lights that came on after dark. WiFi was good, pod was warm Great pre arrival communication and online check in.

Lighting in Sizzle Hut needs to be better and I slipped on some decking which didn't have a wire mesh on it Also it runs on minimal presence of the owner and staff which was not an issue and they were really helpful when we did see them but something to be aware of. Mattresses were a bit uncomfortable too but nothing major

This place was a real find for walking in the far eastern fells where hostel accommodation is quite limited. The pods were well equipped and clean and the layout of the site was well though out with each pod having it's own bench and bbq. Some also have verhandahs and fenced off areas for extra space. The showers were hot and toilets spotless. The exatra facilities such as the Sizzle shack and Chill Zone are a good option at extra cost but not exclusive to guests so other parties of locals use then as well. We hired the Sizzle shack which is a combined bbq firepit ideal for groups in poor weather. It needs a bit more lighting for when you are cooking though. All of the additional facilities and the communal area are Alexa enabled for music and heating. We will be back even the location is just of the A66 to Keswick. There is a service station less than 100 yards away but you wouldn't know it

The mini fridge didn’t seem to keep anything cool or cold. Some other guests had dogs roaming the site in the evening. The Hub wasn’t big enough to meet up with friends and the outdoor area was monopolised by the guests with the dogs.

A beautiful site with lovely camping huts and some really thoughtful touches like the outdoor sheltered area and little play area. Good bathroom facilities and hot showers. I would return.

Railway line and traffic noise so earplugs required if a light sleeper. Keypads for entrance to any toilet/shower sometimes did not work.

Great for my short stopover on the way to Aberdeen. Cleanest facilities I have ever experienced on a campsite. Good WiFi, microwave, heater, lovely external area.

The huts are nice but they sell them for too many people. All huts had a number of beds plus an extra mattress on the floor. In this way the huts were really crowded. I think this should not be an option as it may even pose risks to safety as people would literally have to trample over the person sleeping on the floor to get out. This was not clear from the pictures that give the impression of much more space. Also, there is an 11pm silence rule that is not enforced...

The position was good and the village is pretty. The possibility to use BBQ areas and wooden tables and benches is great. There were kettles and kitchen utensils enough for having meals without worrying.

The mattress was very uncomfortable, there was a tiny fridge in the pod which didnt work, dogs running around due to irresponsible owners.

Picturesque veiws, location was easy to access local attractions, under cover bbq area which came in handy as the weather was awful, communal shower, toilets ect were very clean and well maintained.

nothing, maybe if its busy season more showers would be handy but for us it was no issue as the site was quiet in May when we went

Good size cabin for 2 adults and 2 small children, cabins had enough space in between them. Facilities were good in cabin and as expected.

Unfortunately the attitude of the owner, communication skills were very poor, very dramatic and overreacting, there was 16 children and 15 adults, it was going to be a little noisy, and there was going to be kids toys, rubbish, and camping chairs about, 30 people in a small area, not like we left back home and left it in a terrible way, we left our rubbish and toys and chairs out, we was there for the 2 nights, and all I bed asleep by,12-1. Also its not like we was all in a massive bed room, there was 4 people to one pod with very little storage, I honestly dnt no we're he expected everyone to put there stuff, the pods, area looked lived in for the weekend, and he clearly couldn't deal with the children's mess, mabe make it a adults only site and good luck with that.

The location, the place its self was luvly, near to alot of things, good value for money, luvly set out

In my opinion the pods are not a suitable enough size for one adult and two seven year-old. Very limited storage space and the beds were not the most comfortable.

The location was good ,,as long as you could ignore the passing trains The ablution block was quite tight for space, but the showers were nice and hot

Taxis are practically non-existent in Penrith and surrounding area. Orchard Hideaway's check-in routine is a bit of a nuisance.

Showers were top notch. Everything was spotless. Location is really quite good, with Penrith town centre is a fair walk but manageable.

Not everyone on the site adhered to the quiet times we were told about. There wasn't any hand soap in the dispensers at the wash basins in the loo's or shower rooms

The huts and facilities were clean and tidy on arrival. I had to contact the site operator as I had an issue with the key code entry for our hut, they answered the call promptly and helped quickly. The fact they also allowed dogs on site was a great bonus.
