The house had no running tap water Tv did not work. Had to use my own drinking water bottle to rinse my hands after using bathroom and in morning to wash my face and brush my teeth. Both bedroom windows left wide open on the coldest rainy day. Room warmed up in morning when I left.

Lidl round the corner. Emma was friendly but on the phone as i entered the house was rushed to a cold room with windows wide open. Lidl and 2 pizza shops less than a 5min walk

The rest of the house is fine but there are a few problems in the shared bathroom. The shower needs upgrading. It's a couple of taps with a Y connector and a flimsy hose. It takes ages to work out the position of the taps to get a good temperature. It would be inexpensive to add a proper mixer shower and I think it's a must for shared accommodation. The water pressure is terrible, you can't wash your hands after flushing the toilet as the tap goes to a tiny trickle, and the shower is so weak. Contacting the water board or a plumber would be a good start to work out why it's so weak. There's no toilet brush and this can be embarrassing if you leave a mess. There was a smoke alarm downstairs which obviously had a flat battery as it kept beeping every 2 minutes. This made it hard to fall asleep. These are all small things that are easy to fix.

The hostess was friendly and accommodating. She made me a lovely breakfast. She keeps the place very clean and she obviously cares about her guests.

The floorboards were pretty creaky however, I did not find it annoying and no one was walking around at night when I was asleep.

I liked how kind the host was, she was very helpful and understanding towards my difficulties and she gave me step-by-step instructions on how to use the facilities, she even encouraged me to watch closely when I was beginning to dissociate.

Too many rules. I understand that it was put in place due to Covid, but nowadays no one cares about Covid anymore as much as this place.

It is in a very quiet area. Had a great night sleep. The bed was very comfortable. I booked the room on the same day of the stay and there was a bit of delay with the payment as I didn't have Wifi in the country where I booked the hotel from, but the owner was very understanding and let me pay later the day, but before arrival when I had access to Wifi.

I felt awkward having to message to have the door unlocked to get in late at night. I was assured it was fine, but I feel a code lock would be just as simple a solution. Shame we couldn't have a kettle in our own rooms.

My host, Emma, was very kind. The bed was very comfortable. It was close to Milton Keynes centre for the purpose of my visit.

too many rules, red painted room that is very small and tv older than me. there not expensive these days so why have a old portable that buzzes. needing to return towel before the second person can have a towel. can’t take it into your room. can’t take your shoes up to your room, notes how many bits to toilet paper you can use, demo how to use a shower and move curtains etc that took ages when all wanted to do was sleep. just a joke really when you go to ibis or many other and clean with towels on the side no stupid rules and a room where u can get to both sides of the bed. I could go on and on they screwed the booking up and got us to book again and it was 51p short and asked the driver to go get it for her when sure they already charged it and he just give her an extra £1. moaning about having a work van and asking to park it outside someone else’s house. it should clearly say it’s someone’s home as it looks like it’s a travel lodge type building in photos and it’s not. won’t be booking again

breakfast was okay and warm inside the home.

    No complaints!

This is a small 3 bedroomed house on a housing estate and so do not expect a standard hotel experience. However, the benefit of this was we received a personal, friendly and comfortable stay. The room was clean, well equipped and comfortable. The shared bathroom was also very clean. The breakfast next day was delivered to our room and was really tasty. We had been out the night before and arrived, a little drunk, at almost midnight. Despite this our host was friendly and welcoming! I've read reviews where people are moaning about the rules. There are a lot but none of them are unreasonable and all are clearly designed to make the stay as comfortable and considerate for everyone else. As long as you book knowing this you really can't be surprised or annoyed by it. Our host also swapped a double room for the family room which was all done very last minute. It's a decent location too, only about 20 mins walk from the station and some good pubs. Overall I would say if you are looking for a corporate hotel stay then this might not be for you but if you are looking for a quirky, friendly, comfortable stay then go for it!

It felt like a student house share. Condensation on the inside of the windows. Beds were very uncomfortable. Not ideal for a family unfortunately. We were not able to leave and return without prior arrangement with the host, as she held the keys.

The host was polite and friendly. The breakfast was lovely!

The staff were very friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Breakfast was very nice, mostly produced from their own farm. The use of a (shared) fridge was also very useful. The facilities are basic but well-maintained and clean, and the price was very low for 3 nights, so very good value for money.

Given the price and my expectations, I didn't really have anything to fault. If you're looking to increase your nightly rate however I think there is plenty of things that will need upgrading. The beds and mattresses are clearly very old and you would benefit from upgrading them. I'd also suggest carpets and new curtains to make the room feel less like student digs and more like a home from home :)

The rooms are in the owner's home and are located on the first floor of the house. If you are looking for a place to rest your head at a very affordable price then this is ideal. The hospitality was great and the breakfast was tasty. I can imagine however if you go into this accommodation expecting hotel quality you're going to be unhappy. If your looking for a clean, dry and cosy place to rest your head or cheap accommodation as you working locally and want to save money then this is perfect.

We liked how amazing the host was, couldn't do enough for us. Very covid complient and the location was great. Overall amazing value for money. The bad bits. Felt like I was staying in someone's spare room, floors are creaky and the wood around the walls was very odd. The matts around the floor make it look like they're trying to prevent yoy dirtying them even though house rules stipulate that you must leave shoes at the downstairs door. I'm not used to the host taking my ID and keeping it during my stay, surely we verified and have our identity to Bookings.com The shower/mixer taps isn't ideal nor is the shower curtain around the bath. The host gave us a towel for our shower and then almost immediately took it back before we had removed it, then fetched my towel. Overall not a great stay BUT the most was awesome!

The host was great. Explained the house rules very thoroughly. Location was perfect Clean Covid complient
