It’s a bit of a sharp turn off the road so easy to miss. But once in its fabulous.

Such a comfortable cottage and love the conversion so you can see the garden from outside at the back. Beautiful.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Old Stables located in a beautiful peaceful rural area with all amenities not too far away. Alison welcomed us warmly and made us feel right at home. The apartment had everything we needed and can thoroughly recommend it.

    Nothing!

A beautifully converted little cottage. The standout feature is the wall of windows/patio doors looking out over the garden to the fields and woods behind in the kitchen/dining room. The views are fabulous - the only thing which would have improved it is a small sofa/comfy chair along the back wall to enjoy the view even more. The little patio outside the windows is an absolute suntrap too. Beds super comfy and a good shower. Alison was lovely and welcoming and then totally left us in peace but we knew she was close by if we needed anything.

Sofas uncomfortable, no springs in one seat.

A great cottage in the middle of nowhere where, roomy and everything you need.

Unfortunately we had no heating as there was a problem with the boiler that could not be solved. Nevertheless the cottage was not too cold and the bedrooms had electric heaters. Also the studio above was quite noisy when the occupants were moving around

Nice rural location and secure due to the electric gates that needed a code to open.

A little hard to find, look for Laybrook farm (don't try at Dan farm like we did!). Our GPS had it on the wrong side of the street, too. Wonderfully relaxing once you are there!

Lovely renovated space with two bedrooms, bathroom, living room, and open kitchen/dining. Lots of space, very comfortable. Loved the views to the back garden, and horses in the distance! Alison was very nice in communications ahead of time, and during our stay. She responded promptly when we had a silly question!

No negatives but maybe upgrade the TV to a smart TV so people can access Prime, Netflix etc.

Good facilities, clean and comfortable. Lovely and warm, very spacious. Nice big bath. Beautiful view from the kitchen window. All in all a perfect first holiday with our baby boy.

The road was quite noisy Friday evening but no problem over the weekend. There is a constant low noise from something in the garden that you may or may not hear.

It was a lovely location in Sussex, Alison was very friendly and helpful and it was a lovely converted stone building. Best of all was the wonderful sunlit and spacious kitchen dinigroom. Lovely to have a patio area to sit out on.

No freezing compartment in fridge. Limited number of saucepans. Disturbed by movement of occupants of hayloft above.

Driving is essential as amenities are not close.

The property was very clean and has a sun trap patio to the rear, which overlooked the surrounding fields. It was well equipped with parking directly opposite.

Never saw the hosts and they didn't answer the doorbell when we went to ask for help despite being obviously in. One small towel provided no extras, no toiletries, dirt and mould around the bathroom plus a cracked bath panel. Cobwebs, dead insects and dust, throughout. Crumbs, dirty crockery and sticky surfaces in kitchen. The whole place felt unclean so had clean to feel comfortable. Went to hoover the floor and discovered the hoover hadn't been emptied previously. In the process of cleaning found 3 dirty socks from previous guests on the floor in one of the bedrooms and another on the washing machine in the kitchen. Mismatched old curtains, towels, tatty garden furniture and bed linen that had seen better days, cheap furniture with dents in. The whole place felt generally unloved or cared for. No fans provided, sweltering hot nights in small bedroom. Potentially lovely so a great shame. Would NOT go back.

The kitchen diner was well laid out, welcomed by a friendly dog!
