Parking needs to be addressed as you can only park on the side drive if requested. We all agreed that parking on the front wasn’t safe for our cars due to fast card driving past .

The property was beautiful inside and out. Well equipped, very comfortable and cosy. We really enjoyed our stay .

That we had to leave.. and that it may be a little haunted. It got a little creepy at times.. but that's likely down to unlimited Netflix - and ultimately unlimited horror movies. There is most definitely a lot of history that is very present in this old and beautifully historic building. * didn't actually see a ghost or anything. Just saying x

Beautiful cottage in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. Everything our small family could wish for having come all the way from Australia wanting a traditional english experience. Fantastic, friendly and Super accommodating hosts. We asked for little and they offered plenty. Quiet enough to feel like you're in the middle of nowhere but close enough to everything you'd ever need. An ideal location for us.

Parking on the main road. Showers were temperamental. Connecting door to adjoining property. Instructions for the cooker would have been useful.

Suited our needs. Walking distance to the pub. Cosy. We'll equipped. Comfortable beds and pillows.

This Cottage was fantastic, nice area, comfy and cosy. Caroline was lovely, help us with getting parked up and gave us advice. Very clean and modern, this is good for friends or a small family. Definitely would stay again, thank you!

Can't say didnt like anything, for us we like a evening cuppa in bed and the tv, and no tv on bedroom, but that wouldnt stop us staying again.

We stayed for a wedding and this cottage was perfect only 7 mins away from venue. The hosts were great, communicated way in advance and helped me out when we arrived with the parking instructions etc, cottage is so quaint amd modern at the same time, very very comfortable, would love to stay again.

The bedrooms were on different floors, which could be an issue for young families (but a positive for older families/groups of friends)

The cottage was comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. Caroline was very helpful. The cottage is ideally located for trips in to Chester and exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside.

We don't have an induction hob so need instuction! Perhaps a divided bin for re-cycling would be useful. These are very minor points. It was brilliant!

In my original review I somehow omitted to say how wonderfully helpful the host Caroline was from the time we booked until arrival and beyond. The cottage was great for us as a couple and adult daughter with downstairs bedroom for us and the 2nd upstairs. Very cosy and welcoming with milk and biscuits provided. Two excellent showers and a bath, spacious well equipped kitchen, a pleasant outdoor seating area, a comfortable combined seating and dining area with large TV. Wiithin a few minutes drive of Kelsall with excellent pubs for food and a great Co-op, pharmacy and coffee shop. Bed linen and towels all beautiful quality. We were there for the Folk Festival as we're not calm campers and the location was great. We didn't walk to the venues as walking back along the country road at night would be best with a high vis jacket. It's a great spot to visit Chester and all that beautiful Cheshire has to offer and also for trips into North Wales.

The only thing we struggled with was finding the cottage (we drove past it at first) and it was unclear exactly where to park. I had to phone Caroline to confirm when we arrived, and she was very helpful when we spoke. Also, the code for the key lockbox was different to the one I was sent in an email, luckily she told me the actual code while we were on the phone.

I stayed at this cottage the night before my wedding with my bridesmaids and mum as I was getting married nearby. The owner, Caroline, was so accommodating to our needs and did everything to make our stay as stress-free as possible. She even left us a bottle of prosecco to celebrate my big day which was such a nice personal touch! I can't say a bad word about Caroline or the cottage. We also ate at The Boot Inn pub a 5 minute walk away which was lovely.

Parking is not the best very busy country lane , When going upstairs there’s a normal door to another property (owners) ?? felt a bit unprivate you could see through the acritrading a bit there was a lock on our side but still I was shocked and upon arrival part of the house was attached to the other side the chapel which their kitchen was the top window very strange when someone appeared looking through window ! And we were woken up early from them abound walking around . It’s a shame as it’s a lovely cottage but I think people should now the layout of this and should be told there is a doorway leading to owners property .

The location is fab close to pubs , towns The cottage hasn’t been done very tastefully excellent comfy beds Very cosy . Morris dancer pub excepts dogs in side and the food is excellent

Advertised as ‘sleeps 6’ but doesn’t comfortably sleep 6 adults. sofa bed needs to be comfier for adults sleeping. Probably okay for kids for one night but not for 2 adults for 2 nights. Perfect place to stay for 4 adults. Wish there was one extra bedroom!

Very cute cottage, brilliant host with great communication, lovely pub 5 minutes away. Easy check in. Kitchen well equipped. bedrooms nice but not suitable for 6 adults to sleep as sofa bed too small. Host did communicate this at time of booking however so cannot fault the host.
