Staff slow and un heplfull

If you are a regular booking you have to fit around large arranged groups. To be told you cannot book dinner or breakfast at suitable times when you have ongoing travel arrangements is poor, particularly when told it’s because block booking of parties come first. Dining room furniture uncomfortable, tables for two large can’t hear each other over loud guest parties.

Parking situation was confusing. Valet parking was really the only option, but this wasn't clear at first. But this was our only complaint.

Very comfy bed, nice linen, plenty of towels. Breakfast was very good . View from the bar was lovely. Nice to sit and have a drink and watch the boats.

We checked in on Monday, May 6. Upon check-in I requested a cab at 6:30am the next morning for 6 people. The young woman at reception made a note of it and said that the night shift would take care of it. She asked what time we wanted to eat breakfast. I told her that we would be leaving for a day excursion too early for breakfast on Tuesday but would like 8am breakfast on Wednesday (our check-out day). She was very nice and ordered us take-away breakfasts for the next day (Tuesday) and set us up for 8am breakfast on Wednesday. The next morning we went downstairs about 6:15 to find out that there was no cab nor was one coming. When I inquired of the young man at the desk, he acted like he didn’t know anything about it. He was somewhat rude and told me I should have ordered one the night before. I told him that I had done that. He did try several cab companies but none had cabbies on duty. We had to walk to the ferry station and luckily just made our ferry. The reason I ordered a cab in the first place was because one of our friends had recently had knee replacement surgery and another will be having hip replacement surgery when we get home. Wednesday morning we went down to breakfast at 8am only to be told that our time was at 9:30am. I understand that a large group had arrived and our time had to be changed BUT we had not been informed of this until we showed up at 8. Because our time to check out was delayed, we had to make some other arrangements for the morning

It was very clean. The food was excellent. Gave us a take-away breakfast one morning when we had to leave early, which was a nice surprise.

Great location, rooms were comfortable, the restaurant in the hotel was very good with a great view from the lounge. Breakfast was excellent and hearty! Staff were friendly and helpful.

Parking confusion. But will be aware for next time.

Spa was great fun. especially having exclusive use. Some confusion about parking at hotel as we had already parked on street. Breakfast was great and evening meal excellent.

Access to upper floors difficult with luggage, felt undervalued on arrival being told no breakfast before 9:30 due to group booking, they tried to accommodate us after we pointed out the difficulties it would cause our plans, but breakfast service was very very slow as a consequence. Next day service was excellent and flawless.

Would be great to have a one way glass screen between the hot tub and deck area where people were sitting.

Wonderful location facing Oban bay. Rooms were lovely, we ate in the restaurant & that was also great. All round top stay, shame we only had one night there.

Parking facilities were poor. Only had space for 5 cars at rear and two cars at front. Spiral staircase up to room was difficult for my wife Tables for breakfast in the conservatory were too small.

I was not too pleased at being charged as much as £25 for having car parked overnight round the back of the hotel.

Staff were very helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the evening meal in the hotel.
