Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

Hotel was modern, excellent facilities and location. Swimming pool was fab. Few minutes walk to tram line which takes your directly into Edinburgh City or From Edinburgh airport. KFC & Krispy Kreme Donuts directly across road. We had our car with us so we had chosen here for the car parking facilities rather than city centre, however I would have no hesitation staying here again if I was to fly over as tram line is so so convenient and cheap.

IrelandThe location - 5 minute flat walk from tram station. The area felt very safe. We could see the hotel as soon as we came off the tram which was nice. A KFC, Tesco, Decathalon, Costa and more across the road which was great if you have kids and needed some extras. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool was lovely and we had it to ourselves every morning before breakfast. The bedrooms were comfortable with a nice powerful shower in the bathrooms. Would stay here again.

Lovely stay in the Novotel . Staff could have been more helpful . Varied dinner menu but delicious and good value . Breakfast very well presented and very good . Plenty of choice from continental to porridge and the full Scottish . Loads to choose from . Rooms ver clean and comfortable . Gym and pool an added bonus . Reception staff explained everything very well at check in and when checking out . Definitely stay again .

United KingdomThe parking was very highly priced, luckily I had it discounted but if not surely there is a better way to ensure the car park is only used by hotel users especially as we were no where near a town / city parking should be free or much cheaper. This was the only dislike but not a problem on this occasion.
The staff were amazing and I liked we could take dogs but did not feel like dogs had been in the rooms

Reception was very busy; trying to get our room key took an age. So at best, absolutely average.

United KingdomA bit inconvenient that the electric sockets were not on both sides of bed. And it would be nicer if the jacuzzi facility was separated from the pool bit that's not really an issue per se.
Room was good as always in Novotel.Sparkling clean. Although not that much to choose from breakfast buffet (comparing to Novotel hotels on the European continent), there was still plenty of food and everything was fresh and tasty. Staff attentive and polite.
