We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Great stay, beds were very comfy and plenty of pillows to choose from. Room warmed up nicely. Large fluffy towels. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Asked for 2 rooms together and was given what we were asked for. Would stay here again. Free safe parking.

Czech RepublicJust a vague feeling that cleanliness of establishment could be improved, Too many slightly sticky surfaces for my liking. Not a complaint , just an observation. Also a distinct watered down feeling to the Orange Juice.
Attitude of one of the staff at breakfast. Single handedly it appeared she was racing round topping up buffet, cleaning tables and generally keeping the whole show on the road. Sorry I cant give her a name check, but 10\10 for her effort.

United Kingdomour room was on the ground floor which we didn’t have a problem with at first however we were woken at 3.45am with very load creaking floor boards coming from the room above which went on for some considerable time. We were seriously thinking about getting up and driving home!

United Kingdomwhen booked told them we would be arriving late and arrived half way through allotted time after 7 hour journey. no one at reception. rang bell 4 times and no one came. Husband had to go hunting for a member of staff who told him she didn't hear the bell. no apology forthcoming. then told we were on first floor and no lift. As a person with severe mobility problems this was a nightmare. No where on website does it state 2 floors and no lift. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. Had I known I would have checked ground floor ONLY. Breakfast Saturday and Sunday was left on heated trays. COLD. no 24 hour reception. there was a telephone number left for emergencies. Good job I was with husband as I do not use a mobile phone. What would have happened if I had been taken ill. Would I come here again. probably NOT

United KingdomBreakfast was ok but food was warm rather than hot (surprising considering it was laid out in the same area they have a carvery and I arrived at breakfast at 7 am).
Good location near my work destination the following day. Location next to the canal may mean it would be lovely on a summer evening. If I’m in the area in the spring/summer I may well try this hotel again.
