Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe conservatory roof could do with a clean, difficult to keep clean I'm sure coz of the birds
The view and it was comfortable. The bird song all around, it was a lovely quiet spot and handy for the coastal path.

United KingdomA lovely, quaint little apartment /garden studio flat. Fantastic views, (even if it was to rain, you can still enjoy the views from the sea view conservatory). Birdsong, nature, peace and tranquility. Well equipped. Very comfortable bed and bed linen! Everything you need for your stay including dish washer and washing machine. We only stayed for one night but would have loved to have stayed longer. A short walk from Lynton village that has plenty of eateries for different tastes, gift shops, two grocery shops and two traditional pubs. With Lynmouth just below, a great place to visit.

United KingdomGoing home.
Everything. We arrived early and were allowed to pop our bags in the room. Sam and Annie couldn't have been nicer so kind and accommodating. Room was georgous and view was to die for. Breakfast amazing and delicious. It was my husbands birthday and they arranged a lovely gift in the room for me. We honestly didn't want to leave and Lynton so beautiful. Did not meet an unhelpful or unfriendly person the whole time we were there.

United KingdomThe room was well decorated and well furnished, with two lovely chairs in the bay window overlooking the sea. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was lovely and spacious. Breakfast offered a lot of choice and the foot was great. The couple who run the place were also lovely. There is a sister hotel just 100m down the road where you can also order an evening meal, which gave us generous portions. I also love the honesty bar. It felt very homely and more like an apartment as we also had use of the guest lounge as well. Would thoroughly recommend.

United KingdomIt's not the property but getting to Lynton and surroundings, if one do not stick to A39 can get into narrow steep paths..difficult with big cars or less powerful cars. It's made for walkers
The layout of our coachman cottage was very good for a couple. Seaview , good patio. Annie and Sam (very warm hosts) have extras like a small clock and portable radio which may not be found in properties. Like the decor, art good taste without gaudi big heart symbols etc

United KingdomThe property is in a peaceful location with beautiful sea views and everything you need for a perfect getaway. Well situated for exploring Exmoor and the North Devon coast. The accommodation was fully equipped with everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the property was warm and clean. Nice patio to sit out on in the evening with a glass of wine and enjoy the views. Within minutes walk of local shops and the cliff railway. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. We would happily stay here again if we were in the area.

United KingdomIt would have been nice to have some teabags and conditioner. The shampoo and soap were lovely. There's only one little sofa so for a couple it was hard to get comfy for evening so we went to bed to stretch out.
Loved the location and very clean. Great to have a kitchen in the Garden Studio. A fabulous walking distance along North Walk to Valley of the Rocks. Hot shower and super comfy bed, and the little sunroom was great. Would definitely stay again.
