Nothing really. Parking is on the street and dependent on a space being available, but that all worked and the street is very quiet. Upper stairs to bedrooms are steep which could be difficult for someone with mobility problems, but worked perfectly well otherwise.

Christel was an excellent host - very interesting to talk to and knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast was fine and the room was well appointed and spotlessly clean and tidy.

Christel was a perfect host; warm friendly and receptive. Our room, was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was next to our room and a hot soak in the bath very welcome after a long day. There was lots of local information in the room and Christel was also very helpful about places to visit etc We thought this was a great place to stay.

Lovely cosy place. Friendly owner and absolutely loved the little touches in the room. Breakfast was lovely, although a tad early for us. Home made Jam and fresh milk from local farm. Highly recommend this beautiful B and B.

We loved everything! This place has a great feel- the decor is beautiful and arty and yet feels like home. Our host was helpful and we had such a lovely chat over a delicious breakfast. Homemade jams and Croissants with fabulous coffee was a great start to our day. We loved staying with Christel and will definitely stay here again!

Loved everything about our stay at this property. Host was very welcoming and friendly. Room, facilities, cleanliness and everything about our stay was exceptional. Breakfast was very good, it was not a cooked full breakfast but we didn't want one, so suited us. I will go back hopefully sooner rather than later.

Lovely clean unfussy room. Excellent breakfast with a range of delicious homemade jams. Friendly and welcoming host. NB the house numbering in the street is a little idiosyncratic - lower numbers further up the hill and a few gaps.

A television in the room would have been nice to catch up with the news, but free WiFi was available which sufficed.

Room was warm clean and modern with some lovely stylish touches. Breakfast was good but maybe not 'hearty' enough for a full days cycling. However Christel was happy to microwave a sachet of instant porridge I had taken if I had wanted it. Property was a bit of a trek uphill from town, but nothing a couple of pints couldn't deal with, but this meant lovely views and an easy start to the second day of the c2c. There is a secure garage for bike storage and Christel was friendly knowledgeable and helpful.

Not much. It was as expected and well placed in the price range.

The location of the B&B is up a significant hill so if you are walking please be aware. The B&B is on the 3rd floor of a residential house and has a shared bathroom and toilet which is perfectly clean and tidy. In the morning breakfast was served around the kitchen table allowing you to talk to the host and the other guests which was wonderful and I had a particularly enjoyable and engaging conversation with the host over shared interests.

The breakfast was excellent - warm croissants with homemade jams and granola. The house was a short walk from the town centre in a very quiet street. There is a fantastic view over the hills from the bedrooms.

This cosy and clean room in a beautiful house was ideal for us to use as a base to visit the Lake District and the surrounding areas. Penrith town centre is within walking distance from the property and there was space to park our car. Christel was an amazing host putting on wonderful breakfasts for us and we felt that we wished we could have stayed longer. We would definitely stay here again.

All the small touches to make it feel homely. The breakfast was very delicious. The host kindly let us check in very late and also check out a bit late due to our very late arrival. The host was lovely to chat to.
