There wasn't anything I didn't like really! The parking isn't onsite - but there is a lot of parking locally and you can unload by the house, so that's not an issue. I wouldn't expect any town centre houses in Bury to have parking either.

The cottage is very well located and quite charming. Very well presented and a lot of thought has gone into it. You are in very easy walking distance of the town centre too - and if you know Bury, it's a lovely town with a lot to do.

This is a beautiful cottage ,perfectly located in the centre of Bury St Edmunds. The host had prepared the house well for us; the beds were super comfortable and there were soft towels and lots of hot water. It was a lovely touch to find milk in the fridge and tea, coffee, cereal, chocolate, cookies and nuts for us. We were also able to find free parking for the weekend just round the corner on Friar’s Lane. 10 Bridewell is a wonderful find!

the cottage itself was lovely but just be aware that the proximity to the town and local pubs means that it can be quite noisy as people leave the pubs in the later part of the evening. Bring ear plugs just in case if you like to go to bed reasonably early.

Lovely listed cottage in a super location right in the town, so no need to worry about easy access to shops, local cafes and restaurants and so on. We only ate breakfast in the cottage but all the facilities were there had we wanted to cook.

Instructions for hob would be handy...we just couldn't get it to work ! Cafetiere would be a fabulous touch

Cute historic cottage with two decent double rooms just a stones throw from Bury town centre. All mod cons included. Owner was able to provide parking not too far away.

You can't eat breakfast inside of your are 4 people there is only a table for two due to the size of the cottage. It is very small, and low celings going upstairs, a few bumped heads.

The bedrooms are a large and very comfy beds. The cafetiere was missing and the owner came with one very quickly, much appreciated! Love the outdoor space and location for town is perfect. Not at all noisy at night. We had a great weekend.

Only the parking. Everything else was fine 🙂

Most convenient location. Friendly helpful owner. No parking nearby, apart from the expensive parking space next door, but that's no fault of the owner. Would stay there again. Recommended!

Very saddened to say cleanliness was not great. The kitchen worktops were sticky, some cooking dishes and saucepans were not clean and we found a dirty sock on the settee. Despite this we would definitely stay again but this did disappoint us and we hope can be improved. One other small improvement would be a bigger table in the living room to sit 4, perhaps one that can be folded out if needed.

The cottage is beautiful and very tastefully furnished and we loved the character. Despite being so central it is very quiet. The location is outstanding - central for shopping, restaurants, the Abbey Gardens and Cathedral. The beds are oh so comfortable. We've not had such a good night's sleep in ages. Thebathroom and kitchen are very well equipped. We liked the little treats left.

although the low ceilings and door frames were cute and certainly original in this house, I did get a few painful lumps on my head walking into them! but I wouldn’t have changed it for quids.

cute old cottage in the centre of Bury St Edmunds. neatly presented. I didn’t cook but there were good facilities for that. Kathryn was an excellent communicator and easy to deal with.
