    Really nice and quaint atmosphere

    • Twin Deluxe Room Sea view

The bathroom was quite small, but clean and adequate. There are rooms without a private bathroom, so if using a shared bathroom is not your thing, be careful on the room you choose when make the reservation. The door to the room didn't seem to have a tight seal and I thought I were hear a lot of noise from the hall. However, to my surprise, it was actually quite quiet. So, something to be aware of, but it wasn't really an issue.

We had a rather large room (2 large beds) with a private bathroom. The room was very nice, although with the two beds, it did seem a little cramped. The table and 2 chairs by the bay window was really nice. And the staff were absolutely wonderful. The location is very good, being very close to the sea and only a short walk to the Brighton Pier.

Honestly really surprised! Very cheap so I did not expect much but great value! The rooms could offer facilities ect dryers, irons (per room)… but overall amazing value and would definitely recommend!

Look, it was fine but a few things to be aware of when booking budget double with ensuite. The room is on the top floor (5 sets of stairs to carry your luggage up, staff did offer to help) under the roofline with sloped ceiling making a tiny room feel very cramped and difficult to move around for 2 people. Bathroom door doesn't open fully, hits the bed. And hot, oh my goodness, so hot that there was condensate dripping from the sloped window in the morning. Fan provided but very weak and did not help much. Very expensive for what it was but I guess you are paying for location.

Location was fantastic, close to beach and pier. Nice indian restaurant at top of the street. Room clean but very small and hot. Staff nice.

We were surprised at the high cost of the room which was about £50 more than usual the usual rate. We inquired and were told that rates had been increased because it was the weekend of the festival in Brighton. The room was very small and ventilation was poor. Most of the staff were very pleasant and friendly but when we arrived and had to find parking in the neighbourhood we found the staff member not very helpful.

We liked the location, a short walk from Marine Parade and the Brighton Pavilion. The hotel had a friendly vibe, the rooms were clean and well-decorated and breakfast was good.

Too much furniture in the room made it feel a bit cramped. Taking a couple of unnecessary pieces out of the room would have made it perfect but I get that other guests may have other preferences.

Great location for walking into Brighton, warm friendly welcome, nicely decorated room.

Walls too thin and some guests too noisy. Experienced a lot of noise from other guests which had woken us up each night. We were on the top floor and it was a bit of a struggle carrying luggage up several flights of stairs. Flooring on top room was very uneven , 1 bed was at a slant due to this. Not ideal but might just be because it’s an old building.

Good location, quiet neighbourhood. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms cleaned each day and fully equipped with everything you need.

A rude staff member with tick glasses and a earpiece approached us in the lobby with no friendly manners whatsoever. We were having a meeting and decided to buy some snacks from the nearby supermarket (grapes, nuts, a pack of crisps) and a coffee from Starbucks. They came saying that it’s not good to bring food into a restaurant and they make coffee in their bar (?!?!). There’s no way you can even think that they would serve any sort of food in that lobby. No food menus whatsoever, not on the tables nor anywhere else. And sorry if we went for a Starbucks coffee, rather than your Nespresso machine (!!!). Anyway, this guy might also be somehow right, but they clearly lack of customer service as there are much better ways to approach paying guests who chose your hotel, over thousands in town. They turned a potential promoter into a passive customer. Well done!

Good location and very welcoming staff. The Spanish girl at the check in (sorry forgot the name), was very welcoming and clearly explained all we needed to know.
