Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWindow almost impossible to close. Bed very springy, every movement was amplified by the bouncy springs. In a student area so we were woken by people in the street shouting at 4am. Shared bathroom with 1 toilet roll each. One ran out by the morning.
Very acceptable for the price. Clean, dry, and warm. Kitchen is fully fitted, so meals can be cooked and eaten there.

United Kingdom- The whole apartment (and building) has a very strong student accommodation vibe which I don't particularly appreciate not being a student. Having said that, this was mainly decor and style. - The toilet wasn't super clean and neither were the stairs. - Although the communal areas of the apartment (kitchen and shower) were very clean, the room had a persistent smell (not awful but definitly not fresh) of what I would normally associate with a 'wet dog' (I doubt there was an actual dog there before but it might have been the carpet?). It was particualrly stricking as there was no such smell in the common areas but only when you walked into the room. - The common areas were very clean including the shower, though I think there was no one else at the apartment that night, otherwwise you'll be sharing a shower with 5 other rooms.
- Location is very good and central (5 minutes walk from bus and train stations) - Self check-in was easy and information received perfect. - Room was spacious. - WiFi worked well. - Some facilities such as kitchen (in particular, it's spacious and has cutlery and plates) and shower were good.

United KingdomNo staff. No maps, no local advice, no kettle, no commune room or anything. Just big placards of signs saying don't do this , and"your being watched", and threatening wording from big signs (fines for late check out fine for this and fine for that). No welcoming and entrance doesn't feel homely. The shower is always in a tiny cubicle adjacent to the toilet, (without any ventilation, or air) so the shower room is stuffy and stinks as there's no ventilation for the air to go around (not nice when it's so close). Plus there is no hot water in shower. The atmosphere of the hostel feels stark.
The beds are lovely, extremely comfortable for a good night's sleep. The beds and quilts and covers are very clean. The area is conveniently located in the heart of town near to a takeaway restaurant, night club, and opposite a beautiful church. It is the cheapest place we found on booking as the air BnB guy didn't respond.

United KingdomPlan of your section of stay so you can find areas with out trying to find what you wish plus had nothing to watch as the small box which comes in room is only set to lap tops and smart phones but not everyone is going to have these .
Location was ok no staff when trouble starts and no show when fire alarm goes off no one shows maybe security watching over or have doorman that is watch cameras and dealing with any situation straight away

United KingdomThe room was not ready when we checked in, needed a refund (look at photos, taken directly when I walked in). The place looked a bit shabby and the bathroom looked run down. The owner could only talk via text which was a bit shady.
The property was a bit clean and had a nice bed

United KingdomHard to find, hard to get hold of anybody I had to text rather than speak to someone. Was given a code to get in which didn't work, they said there was tea and coffee facilities in the room but there weren't, there was a kitchen with tea and coffee but no milk and luckily when we came back from our evening out somebody gave us the code for the door or we would not have got back in, it was not worth the money I paid for this room. The only good thing was the bed was comfortable
Bed was comfortable

United KingdomThe only positive I can think of was that it was opposite a Tesco Express. Kitchen too dirty to cook anything though! This place is an absolute disgrace and presumably relies on people being too cowed to complain...
Absolutely terrible place, particularly considering the expensive price paid. This is a hostel and is of very, very poor quality. It is not in the best part of town. When I arrived, there were some very dubious people hanging about. A few feet away there were some sort of 'transactions' taking place.... The hostel is organised into flats, with individual rooms and shared bathroom facilities. Too late for me now, but a little research online reveals a few facts about this place which, had I known them, would have warned me not to book... I knew that the facilities were shared - not a problem in itself, but in the flat I was in, the WC and the Shower were in need of a thorough scrub. I took one look at the shared kitchen and it was an easy decision not to use it. My room was none-too-clean - the bed linen was unbelievably creased - it looked like it had been screwed up in a ball...and then put on the bed. My room was up flights of stairs - and without a lift, this presented me problems as I have mobility issues. There was a notice downstairs saying that there was an on-site manager, but when I went in search of them this proved to be untrue. I therefore rang Booking.com and they in turn contacted the property ... I then received an unsigned text from Neon160 stating that 'the property is very safe but as I had booked the last room, there was no lower room to allocate to me'. Note to Neon160: it was not clear to me that I had booked the last room and Neon160 should have stated this clearly before I booked, as I would have looked elsewhere. And as for 'very safe' - that is their subjective view... Wi-fi worked for a bit and then cut out...but started working again well after midnight. In summary, I have stayed in some modest places with booking.com and apart from one other place, all have been safe and clean, with staff on-site, usually very kind.

United KingdomIt was absolutely filthy. Bed wasn’t made on my arrival, in fact the bedding smelled dreadful and full of staines, mattress was smelly and realy cheap, even though I didn’t sleep inside the bedding due to the extreme staines, I could still hear and feel the springs, towels where stained, 1 tiny shower room between potentialy 16 guests,my room slept 4 so assuming the other3 rooms slept the same amount of people)I will defo be reporting this place to the local council.. this place is surely overdue an inspectionI, im surprised you allow this on your website to be honest, this place or at least the room I stayed in is nothing like described., I feel totally ripped off and shocked that places like this exist, due to the uni graduation every where else I tried was fully booked otherwise I’d have left straight away..
Location was good.
