To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Very good location, close to the main tourist attractions even by foot, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, large apartment, lovely view to the city from the 8th floor. Would stay here again.

United KingdomTiny things that weren’t massive in the great scheme of things. The room safe had been replaced (well done) but the instructions hadn’t been updated - never got it to work. A portable fan had a broken plug and couldn’t be used. We didn’t report any of it and I regret that now - I’m certain they’ve have been fixed promptly.
These are fine apartments for a short stay - clean and comfortable, with friendly staff and a good location. Check in and out were very straightforward and there was no “nonsense”. We booked it, arrived, stayed, got what we expected, and left in good humour. That’s pretty rare these days.

Hong KongThe safe didn’t work and as I arrived on a Sunday and they were on holiday the next day as well, it was inconvenient. On Tuesday I had to inform the office even though the porters had already written the problem down for attention. Some of the bowls had not been washed for a very long time. There was mold growing on them. Clearly none of the housekeepers had bothered to check for a long time. Tea bags should be provided for the guests during their stay not just for a day or so, especially after cleaning when bed linen and towels were changed and the floors cleaned. I asked for and received a plastic bowl for handwashing my clothes which was good.

CanadaAs a party of three, with the fold out couch in use, the space was very cramped. The couch bed was quite comfortable, but awkward to have in the space.
This cute apartment was in a great location near Sloane Square and South Kensington. The room was well equipped with a small kitchen, laundry etc. The main bedroom was very comfy. The shower worked great.
