Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomCouldn’t fault a thing.
Excellent stay, location was good and handy to see all parts of Arran. Emily was very welcoming and her own cooked breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices. Our room overlooked her wildlife garden she had created. We enjoyed watching all the wildlife coming every day to feed. Would definitely recommend to all.

United KingdomEmily is absolutely lovely. She made us feel so welcome and obviously loves her job. She has made this place a great B and B. She takes pride in what she does. Her 'Guest Information ' book is wonderful. There were so many other useful books and maps around too. The whole place was clean and well looked after by herself. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of choice. The homemade granola and fresh fruit were my favourite, but so much was made by Emily herself. The room was spacious and we had a very comfortable stay. Great location too.

United KingdomThe property was lovely. A real comfortable bed in a spacious room with a beautiful bathroom. Emily, the host was delightful, really helpful and gave us great tips for things to see and do whilst in Arran. The breakfast was amazing and set us up for the entire day. I really recommend the guest house and would stay here again if I return to Lamlash.

RomaniaThis place isn't just an accommodation. It is a real home and an oasis. The guest house was renovated with good taste and smart choices. The owner is a very kind and warm person, you basically are welcomed into her countryside home. There is ample parking space in front, and a little area with 2 benches and a squirrel statue. Location wise, it is well situated on a small road, one turn from the main street. On this, you can actually go around the whole island. Upon check-in, you get a massive book with all kinds of tips for the island: where to eat, what to do, etc. Breakfast is a big, filling English breakfast. This can be customised to you individual needs: allergies, dietary restrictions, etc. The best part is that the water pressure is killer! Perfect after a day of hiking! The rooms are all named after local attractions and are marvelously decorated. Upon booking, you also receive a very detailed message on how to get to the island (ferry terminals). Rooms are decorated by local island inspirations. The bed was huge and comfy. Water pressure in the bathroom (both shower and bath) was very strong and ample warm water.

United KingdomNothing at all!
The property was spotlessly clean. Both the bedroom and the bathroom were really spacious. There were lovey personal touches in the rooms like homemade shortbread biscuits and tablet to have with tea, coffee or hot chocolate. The breakfast was delicious with homemade granola and bread served along with a cooked breakfast. The property was in a quiet spot but only a short walk or drive into the village. The rooms have a view of a nature garden at the back of the house where red squirrels and birds come to eat all day!
