Heat rises, which means upstairs and in particular, our room became too hot. We couldn't access the boiler or thermostat controls to be able to turn it down

Stylish home, comfy bed, had our own fridge in the bedroom, heating was on during our stay so lovely and warm. Our host was away from home, but communication was easy and any questions were answered quickly.

Was given a door code upon booking and were unaware a second code had been sent via email and no notification had popped up. It got sorted fairly quickly after a phone call or two, but it was late at night and raining so frustrating and confusing. Water temp was hot however shower pressure is not great. A hand towel was provided however only 1 bath towel provided; was shared between 2 people - just as well we’ve been married many years!!! May have been an oversight.

It was raining and we arrived quite late but were delighted to find house was warm and cosy as heating was already on. Decor was lovely; Gold and navy, quite striking. Comfortable couch. TV working & contrary to other accomodation we’ve had in Ireland, plenty of channels to choose from which was excellent. Off street parking in driveway on property. Quiet street. Easy to get to via Crumlin Road. Host rents out house when working away so you’ll find a full size fridge and everything “just like home”. Loved 🥰 our stay.

It is not a downside, just a remark: it would have been nice to have full control for the heating system in the house ( however, it was not a problem for us, it is just for being independent during your stay ).

Choose this house with your eyes closed for the next reasons: very nice neighbourhood, private parking ( on the property, next to the house ), self check-in / check-out with lockbox, instant communication with the owner previous and during the entire stay, spotless, big rooms and with enough storage space, good internet ( still with a few interruptions ), close to the city center ( by car, no more than 10 minutes ).

The house was clean, comfortable, and ideal for a few days in Belfast. The house is tastefully decorated and well equipped. Could not fault anything at the house. The house is located in a nice, quiet neighbourhood.

Was a bit cold in the property. Probably, the owner didn't expect this cold whether conditions. We didn't find heating control, but we almost all the time were in town, and it wasn't a big problem.

We liked the private. Also, the owner is helpful, friendly, and reliable.

Property was warm comfortable and very clean for our stay. We had tea bags coffee refreshments waiting on our arrival It was extremely well equipped with a TV both in the bedroom and living room with Netflix games consoles ect, we had a very comfortable stay the house is a real home away from home kitchen has everything you could need It was very convenient for us to be able to cook our own meals. Was only 5 mins from the shankill road were we completed a tour of the peace walls learning about the history of belfast House was 10 minutes from Belfast City centre by taxi, there was also a bus stop at the bottom of the road lovely views of the city from the front of the property and mountain views from the back. The host was very responsive to texts and helped to arrange a tour of the peace walls for us and an early check In Will absolutely be back!

Nothing not to like.

It's a wonderful central location for a base to visit all the surrounding areas. Close to Airports and Ferries, beautiful scenery and everything was available. Host was wonderful and understanding and very quickly replied to any questions. We will definitely be coming back to see Ireland properly.

The instructions for using the apartment were not friendly. I wanted to leave quickly. There were so many nuances, prohibitions on use or threats in the instructions for using the apartment that if we do something wrong somewhere, we use more than necessary (water, light ... something else), then an additional fee is charged (repeated several times) that it was really scary to move around in that apartment. To be honest, that's all I remember...... I don't even know if there was a greeting, like "welcome". The instruction was so long that I even had to re-read it several times in order not to miss anything and do everything right, while there was no information about Wi-Fi at all .. It's good that the owners were in touch and told us this upon request. I travel a lot and this is the first time I've experienced this! Also keep in mind that if you ask for an extra blanket, you will be denied! The towels smelled like they didn't dry well! The instructions said that if we didn't dispose of our trash properly or used more electricity, we would be charged extra money. At the same time, we did not find garbage bags, we had to look for our bags, put garbage there and take it with us to the city to throw it away! We had to take pictures of the dirty dishes we saw when we checked in to prove that we didn't get them dirty and we're not going to wash them. we had to take pictures of everything to prove later that we did everything according to the instructions. You also need to consider that the apartment is located on a hill, from the stop there is a serpentine, on foot 10 minutes.

The photos matched, the apartment was beautifully decorated, but the instructions for use left more of a bad impression...

It was very frustrating to find out how to close the door, I believe it should be one of the most important things described in the house manual. You have a bit overwhelming feeling of the fact that someone is living there and may enter any time, this is personal feeling, but made me feel unsafe. I did not expect the house to have private stuff of anyone else there - personal pictures, shoes in the hallway, 3 closed rooms that you don't know if someone is staying in or not. It caused a really uncomfortable feeling for me. And also photos used on booking.com do not show the amount of private belongings that is there in reality, the title highlights the fact that the home is not shared and there is no information in the description that there will be things of the owner there. Other than that - the toilet flush did not work, water pressure was really weak, the house was worn out, the duvet was like a thin mattres (did not bend at all), there was a breakfast station in the room with strawberry jam but nothing to use the jam with. Awkward place with a feeling of couchsurfing / home exchange. None of the AirBnBs nor Booking stays was as weird as this one.

Place was easy to find and check-in was unproblematic. Contact with the owner was good and we have received all needed information - how to close the door, what is the Wi-Fi password, etc. Price was attractive, but knowing the standard now, I will choose other option.
