    A pleasant and enjoyable stay.

Room was a little cold at times. It took a very long time for the hot water to come through to the basin tap. There was nowhere to hang clothes, only shelves.

Meals were plentiful with good choices and nicely cooked. Room was pleasant and comfortable. Good supply of teas and coffee and biscuits.

Noisy. Road noise, and people in our corridor late at night showing little consideration for others.

    Nice location. Good pub food.

Felt a little impersonal. Only instant coffee for breakfast. Appreciate that cappuccino’s and lattes are not always possible but not even a cafetière of fresh ground coffee? No excuse.

Spotlessly clean. Great location. Good breakfast.

Tub shower needs sand strips on bottom to avoid slips/falls. A grab bar would be a safety feature, too.

A bit of early 20th century English village life. Goring and its locks is beautiful.

I was travelling with my son and daughter in law. I paid for two double rooms. Whilst they were given a large double room mine was very small and more like a single than a double.

Quaint hotel in the lovely village of Goring. Fridge with real milk so you can have a dece cup of tea.

Had a lovely bath with rain shower, but pop up plug didn't work so unable to have a bath, which was disappointing. Seems to have changed hands more recently, pub in process of redecoration which is good, scaffolding around parts of building, so needed to keep curtains pulled to ensure privacy .

Lively pub, nice atmosphere. Good breakfast. Fresh milk available in fridge on landing for tea and coffee in rooms, small seating area on landing, quiet if didn't want to sit in pub. Does evening meals typical pub food.

Lots of areas of the hotel part of the pub need decorating. Our initial room had flaky paint, blinds hanging off, looking out of window area was very messy. Our room was changed and the 2nd room was a big improvement.

Staff were very helpful and responsive. In the heart of the village and quiet. Bed large and comfortable. Room problem was dealt with quickly and positively. Food was good. Very good choice of wines by the glass 🍷

Breakfast ok would have been nice to have decent coffee in room and with breakfast instead of instant, not much too ask these days. Room was boiling we had a fan in room but it just blew warm air around.

Location was good lovely village with a friendly feel.

Breakfast was tasty but could have been more generous. Missed the opportunity to have cereal, fruit, fruit juice, yoghurt and toast before the hot selection. Not a show stopper as the hot options we had were tasty (and honestly, sufficient) ... its just that when holidaying, you like that little bit extra.

The room was lovely. It was nice to stay somewhere that had some thought put into personalising the rooms. All the staff we had contact with were friendly and helpful. The location was a perfect stop for us on our journey along the Thames Path and Goring a cosy little town to spend a bit of time in before setting off again.

First time staying in a pub and I'm sorry to say it will be our last. Far too noisy up to approx 11pm. Had to have windows open due to heat so it was hard to avoid the noise

Lovely pub, great food and friendly staff. Small room but had everything we need.

The painted wooden floors were a little slippery for older guests and I would have preferred traditional curtains in the room! However all in all a good experience in an excellent location!

It was a lovely quiet location. The pub was very busy when I Arrived but was immediately greeted by a member of staff who showed me to my room. It was well appointed and I liked the fresh milk available in the fridge on the landing. All the food was of good quality well presented and reasonably priced and the staff were well trained and nothing was too much trouble. it was a lovely location the river 5 minutes one way and the station 5 the other way. Breakfast service was also excellent with good choice available.

Breakfast was very odd. Choice of 1 thing from menu, so full English or granola! No cereals. They did provide toast if asked but just with butter. No marmalade, honey etc. It was if they had never had breakfast before!

Well decorated, clean and comfy room.

I think that if you have an open bathroom as ours did then Poo drops should be provided to stop smells travelling into the bedroom.

Our room was on the front and unfortunately as the weather was very hot, we had to sleep with the windows open to try and cool the room. The church bells woke us on the hour every hour and the traffic noise under the window was not what we are accustomed to. The bedroom curtains were very shabby & tired and had a huge hole in them. In addition, the bed creaked with the slightest movement and contributed to a rather un comfy stay. I would suggest that this “superior room” needs a bit of an update.

Beautifully located near the river and has an atmospheric restaurant and bar. Friendly staff and accessible 24/7

Shower did not appear to have any temperature setting so we had boiling hot showers when it was hot outside. Set up meant toilet quite open to room.

Location suited us as we were walking the Ridgeway. Clean, comfortable and food available at place too.
