Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe stayed in the smallest of the B&B units and the bedroom space was limited and there was only a single metal chair which made sitting in the evening less comfortable than it might have been. We would certainly stay at Ash Farm again but would choose one of the larger units.
The location is excellent and the situation within a working farm was fascinating.. The room was very clean with a comfortable bed and bedding. Underfloor heating was very effective. The bathroom well fitted with a good walk-in shower. The staff were excellent in all respects, including a welcome much later than we had expected. The breakfast was superb, freshly cooked with very good quality ingredients. Although we did not use it there was a communal lounge with books and tables.

United KingdomThe TV in the room was a little hit and miss with connection.
We stayed in the Dairy and although beautifully presented I was slightly disappointed that we didn't have patio doors onto the garden. However, we then realised that we could access the dining area, internally, which was very light and had large patio doors onto the outside space. Smashing. The breakfast was superb with homemade sourdough bread, avocado, smoked salmon perfectly cooked poached eggs. Delicious. There was also a full breakfast available. Chantelle was very attentive and her attention to detail was excellent. The setting is lovely looking out onto the Cotswold hills.

The farm is in a great location with easy access to many local tourist places. The room we had was spotlessly clean and spacious. The views were exceptional. The hosts were so welcoming and were very accommodating. The breakfast was amazing and was served in a lovely dining area which you had access to all day. We were able to look around the farm and see the lambs. Would recommend and would definitely return again.

United KingdomNothing all very good...
We stayed in Room 4 within the Main farm Courtyard. We arrived slightly earlier than we had expected, Dan greeted us with a very welcoming smile and said that is was not a problem as our room was ready… The room was generous, well equipped. The shower was great and hot water was plentiful. Our room was clean and spacious and the under floor heating was very effective. Chantal always asked about our day and suggested places we might like to visit. We would return from a day's activities and find shortbread biscuits in our room. We were so impressed with the attention to detail and quality. We had homemade creps, fresh fruit and orange juice, followed by sourdough toast and a full cooked English breakfast with home grown produce. The second morning we had salmon with all the trimming again local produce and avocado. Refills of tea throughout the breakfast. This is a family run farm which was such a peaceful location considering it’s a working farm. Our hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, always with a constant smile to greet you… We cannot recommend this place highly enough it was perfect… A sun trap little seating area outside accessed over a small bridge over the babbling stream. We met Percy and Theo the farm cats who were very friendly. We would walk down the long gravel drive in the morning. We certainly would recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet break away and we would consider staying again in the future. We absolutely loved our wonderful stay at Ash Farm Cotswolds. Our hosts were really lovely and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. We had delicious breakfasts every morning of our stay. Thank you very much Dan and Chantal for a terrific stay.

Everybody has been nice and welcoming, giving us a farm tour and suggesting places to visit and where to eat. We are looking forward to coming back, and if you are looking for a family-friendly place in the Cotswolds, this is the place you are looking for!

AustraliaIt would be crazy if anyone said there was something they didn’t like! Definitely nothing for us. 😊
Everything!! We’ve been travelling for 3months and I think this was our 18th accommodation. We’ve stayed in some amazing places, both in England and Europe in that time, and both agree that this was our absolute favourite. The room was clean and lovely and was attached to the dining room, so close to walk for the BEST breakfasts and to the refrigerator for our supplies. Dan and Chantal (sorry if incorrect spelling) were amazing hosts and it was lovely to get to know them a little and learn about the farm that has been in the family for 100 years. They also gave great advice about where to visit, or for a good pub meal. The location was the best, being very close to the village of Stow and not far to drive to anywhere else in the Cotswolds. One of our favourite afternoons was spent sitting on the back deck watching the sunset with a glass of wine in hand. We have told all of our friends at home in Oz about this special place and I’m sure some will be visiting in the future. Thank you, lovely people for such an enjoyable stay!
