Host was super attentive, gave clear directions and was very easy to check in. Highchair and travel cot were also provided which meant travelling was a bit easier! Location was great, lots to do on site if you want to get the entertainment passes or can get to the beach within a few minutes drive. Lodge was clean and comfortable and could happily have stayed longer!

What’s not to like! It was truly amazing! One of the best caravans on site if not the best! Me and my family normally holiday 4 to 5 times a year in caravans all over the country and this was by far the best and such a reasonable price. From the standard sized beds, the air con, the big tv with tonnes of DVDs for all types of people, the huge kitchen with washer/dryer, dish washer, both full sizes fridge and freezers, loads of storage, all the kitchen utilities you need to make your stay easy. The huge living and dining room area which is decorated lovely and modern throughout. The full sized bath and bathroom with lovely fresh towels. The lovey full sized bedroom with walk in wardrobes with more storage than my own home and full sized beds that were not only clean and fresh but extremely comfortable in both rooms. The lovey veranda with table and chairs that wrapped around most of the caravan which was lovely to sit out in the morning and read a paper with a lovey cup of tea. There is so much to say with how happy we as a family are with are stay that we genuinely did not want to go home. The caravan is situated on the corner of the main area so it’s not far away from all the entertainment but far enough that in the night it’s peaceful! The owner Mick was so accommodating and lovely to deal with and made our stay feel personal throughout and was in contact with anything we needed or any issues we faced (which there was none of). I myself very rarely leave reviews but I honestly was so happy with our stay that I only felt it right that I left this review as a token of our appreciation for such a lovely holiday. Everything about the caravan, the owner, the park itself was amazing. We will be back and cannot wait to stay again!! Mick, thanks again for making our holiday so amazing and being such a nice fella! Can’t wait to stay again!

The only complaint I could make which is only my personal preference... the bedding was overly purfumed by washing detergent/softener, so not great for my allergies, ended up covered in a rash/itching every night :( Would take my own bedding for next time but absolutely wouldn't put me off booking again.

Everything! The lodge was beautiful, very clean, spacious and it had everything we needed. If you need to do some grocery, tesco is only 6 mins-8 mins walk (depends how fast you walk) from the lodge. We loved the walk in wardrobes in each of the bedrooms. My kids were just chilling/playing in there & watching movies etc as it's very cosy. Amanda and Michael were very helpful and great at communicating. I will definitely be recommending them to my friends and family. Note: This is regarding the park it self not the lodge...Before you get entertainment pass from reception through highfield grange holiday park, ask what it actually covers as I paid £89 for 3 nights pass ( family of four. 2 adults and 2 kids) which covers swimming, sports facilties and shows. Have a think if it's worth it because I personally thought it was over priced for what you get and I wish I went and asked exactly what it actually covers before paying. They charged the same amount as if you are staying for a week! even though we were only there for 3 nights. All the other activities like pottery painting, pedal go karts etc you have to pay for them extra and I thought the pass covered everything. The whole time we used it for swimming and shows, we weren't even asked if we have a pass at the door. People were just going in and out. The park is close to the town center as well and in less than 10 mins drive, you are at Clacton Pier. Thank you Amanda and Michael! We had a lovely stay at your beautiful lodge. We will surely be back one day.
