We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomNothing to dislike. An indoor drying rack would be useful but certainly didn't create any negative thoughts about our stay!
Beautifully located lodge. End of row. Peaceful. Clean. Well equipped and very comfortable. The lodge has lots of lovely features that reflect its location. Local art work, nic nacs, lamps, furniture. Plenty of towels. 2 bathrooms is great. Good showers with lots of hot water and great water pressure. Lovely outside deck and seating area. Dog friendly. Located very close to an open dog exercise field. Short drive to Salcombe and surrounding villages. Lovely coastal walks nearby. Really is a home from home.

United KingdomDue to the location, amenities were not within walking distance; however there is a small shop on-sight that stocks cupboard products, not fresh produce.
We booked very late, on a Sunday evening, yet the owner still allowed the booking to go-ahead. We checked in around midnight via key-lock-safe. The owner came by the following morning with complimentary refreshments, very polite, very friendly and very hospitable. Our first thoughts upon arrival was the lodge’s cleanliness and spaciousness. Each room was aesthetically pleasing, warm, cosy and relaxing. The beds were extremely comfortable alongside the corner sofa. Everything you need for a short stay is available. You can quite literally cook anything in the kitchen because the owner provided culinary equipment in abundance. Little touches made our last-minute trip extra enjoyable: privacy, internet, books, board games, wrap-around veranda, outdoor seating accommodation, nearby park and secluded zone for dogs to run freely, safely and off the lead.

United KingdomThe lodge surpassed my expectations, it was beautifully and tastefully decorated and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The location was perfect - a good walk to the nearby soar mill cove and close to Salcombe and other lovely beaches by car.

United KingdomThe slightly negative comment was that we found the bed a little uncomfortable. However, this is subjective as we all like different mattresses. We rated 9 because of this but really 9.5!
The property was clean, tidy and well equipped. The lodge was sited in a good position and wonderfully quiet. The bonus was the use of the kayaks. The owner was easy to communicate with and friendly.

The lodge is beautifully decorated throughout. Everything was of high quality and so well equipped. We stayed in most evenings as it is a really relaxing place. It is in a lovely location just a short walk to Soar Mill Cove which is dog friendly with added bonus of Soar Mill Cove Hotel as a resting place on way back for drink.

United KingdomInsufficient cutlery drinking glasses and table mats. 2 teaspoons, 4 wine glasses one of which was chipped and only 2 table mats. Smoke alarm not working along with the wall clock. Some of the lightbulbs were not functioning and need replacing. Obviously no-one seems to be checking the finer detail.

United KingdomThe property is great, you can’t fault it. It’s a 30 minute walk to the nearest beach but if you have a car and don’t mind paying for parking it’s not a problem.
Clean, modern, lovely stay with comfy beds. The host is very helpful and checks in to make sure you have everything you need.
