I loved everything about this historical, well cared for inn. My single room was charming w everything I needed, the breakfast room (also the dining room for dinner) was beautiful with view of fountain, flowers; it included both a well appointed buffet PLUS waitstaff who took orders for hot breakfast, common rooms, like the rest of inn, were all preserved & very much in keeping with history of the inn, and all staff were very friendly & helpful. Added bonus: inn is in heart of Rye, located on the most charming street with everything within easy walking distance. I arrived in Rye via train and it was short walk from train station to inn & back.

Breakfast is a bit basic missing certain ingredients expected in a cooked breakfast ie hash brown or baked beans and the portions are small

Location, Staff, car park facilities, lovely bar and just an amazing hotel

    Nothing.

It was fabulous! the staff were excellent in every department and made us feel very welcome. We especially loved the atmosphere and staff in the bar, it made my wife's birthday extra special. The other highlight was the superb meal we enjoyed on her day, it was very enjoyable in every respect. We will definitely be revisiting your fantastic hotel again very soon.

One had to wait some time to order and water was not immediately available. One small suggestion to the kitchen staff is to use separate cutting boards so that the fruit Sallad in the morning do not taste of onion.

The unique character of the place and the friendly staff. The food was excellent.

That we had to go home haha

The hotel was fantastic! From the moment we arrived we were treated by friendly staff. We were very looked after & made to feel at home. The hotel had so much history we really enjoyed it especially a tour of the rooms & cellar. The food was delicious. The room super clean but our favourite thing was how lovely the staff were!
