We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

ThailandThe staff do not know what is going on, we were given wrong information on restaurant closing times and were moved from the restaurant to the bar. Also the time for breakfast given was wrong we were told on check in 9-10:30 when in fact it was 7:30 to 9:00 such that when we arrive for breakfast 30 minutes after we were told breakfast started we are told that it had finished, they did prepare something for us to eat but the attitude of the staff was not particularly friendly about this.

United KingdomFemale receptionist couldn't have cared less. I mentioned that the doors in my wing banged really really loudly if guests didn't shut them very carefully - shake-the-walls loud. "Oh, right," she said. I know it's not her responsibility, but a basic, "Oh I'm sorry to hear that, I'll mention that to the manager," would at least have let me felt heard. Young male waiter kept calling me "my dear". Sorry and all that, but really not necessary. (Yes, I'm being a grumpy old woman.)
Excellent meal. Very very comfortable bed. Grounds looked well-laid out. More experienced staff were helpful and pleasant.

United KingdomWe paid for an upgrade to a Lakeside room thinking we would have a view of the lake/fountain but we didn't. Some of the wooden furniture in the room was damaged, with sharps edges exposed, not great when travelling with a young child.
The location was great and the grounds were lovely but the room itself wasn't 4 star.

United KingdomWasn’t very well maintained in some of areas. Mould on the walls. Very laud guests until 2am, slamming doors that keep us and our 2 years old kid awake. We received an email advising about possible noisy wedding / party environment only the morning before our arrival, far too late to cancel our booking as we were losing the money. The worst part, staff are not family friendly and can’t handle health and safety requirements for young children and most of them make us feel unwelcome. Maybe under a new management and staff training would make us spend again £200/ night.

United KingdomThe lodge was amazing, it had 2 double bedrooms, 1 with ensuite. Huge family bathroom, tv in each bedroom. Downstairs nice lounge, comfy sofas, fully equipped kitchen with dining table & downstairs toilet. A nice back garden perfect in the summer. Your own parking space outside the lodge. The main hotel has a nice welcoming bar serving hot barfood & sandwiches. Also an alacarte restaurant which we did book & the food was delicious & well presented. Staff were warm & welcoming. Will definitley stay again.
