Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI booked the corner studio and assumed that meant it was the balcony room. Unfortunately it wasn't, & I only mention it as its possible that other people could think the same so make sure you check before booking as if I knew it wasn't the balcony room, I wouldn't have booked it. The dog speaker in the room didn't work either but that wasn't a major issue as you can get music on the tv and the staff even gave us a bottle of drink on them which more than made up for it!
I always love staying at The Megaro. It's a luxurious treat for special occasions. Always very enjoyable. I mentioned the stay was for a special birthday & they really went above & beyond for us. I'm not saying they can do this every time obviously but it did make the stay even more special so thank you soo much for that x

South AfricaThere was no space at all provided for suitcases in our room. Not ideal to have to use the floor, especially if you have more than one. The shower temperature control was very tricky to work out and very frustrating. The aircon blew right on to the bed which was not ideal.
A charming, eclectic hotel very convenient if you are using St Pancras or King's Cross stations. Our room was very comfortable with plenty of towels and very good toiletries provided. Great staff and very nice bistro-type restaurant downstairs. Cool snacks provided in the room. Restaurant service is excellent. Big soft bed that we sank into. Some fun and funky decor.

United KingdomThe overall quality of the room could be improved, the fittings and carpet used are incredibly tired (stains and signs of wear). It would be nice to see this hotel have a revamp over the next few years to give it the real luxury feel. There were also stains on the bedding which was further evidence of a lack of quality and care provided.
The location is perfect and the breakfast was very yummy. It is made to order and has some tasty ingredients. I would say that the naming of the breakfast is slightly incorrect, the sausage, beans and bacon used are not typically in an english breakfast.

United KingdomThe hotel was very basic for the price - not enough coffee / tea provided and no milk or fridge . But comfortable and clean with friendly helpful staff .
The location of the hotel is fabulous- especially for moulin rouge . Surrounded by fabulous cafes and restaurants it is an ideal spot to enjoy the local food and atmosphere.

United KingdomThe main restaurant/bar area closed during our stay which meant a little lack of atmosphere but there was another restaurant accessible from the lobby area where we had a very nice breakfast.
Great location at Kings Cross. Comfy bed and good facilities. Breakfast was very good and the staff were all lovely and helpful too. A little noisy on one night but then the location is in the middle of the Kings Cross area so to be expected.

FranceI was very surprised to be asked to pay an additional £100 deposit on top of the room rate when I arrived. This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel and it has never been requested before;
I liked the friendly welcome when I arrived and the complimentary glass of prosecco. The room was spacious and clean and in a great location for St Pancras station.

PhilippinesThe shower. It is so difficult to turn on and adjust the knobs because of the glass partition. We were not able to use the massage function of the shower because the shower room is small and has only a half glass partition and no glass door. We have to ask several additional towels to keep the water from the shower from wetting the toilet area.
It is very near the St. Pancras International and the Kingscross stations.
