Air conditioning would have made the room a bit more comfortable. Hotel is dated from the outside but didn’t ruin our stay. Would have liked the choice of some fruit at breakfast time.

Nice spacious room with large bed. Nice view of trees outside and large patio doors to open up. Friendly helpful staff. Plenty of parking.

No lifts … I have breathing problems so climbing the stairs was a little hard.

Excellent variety for breakfast, The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Couldn’t fault them in any way. Lovely to see so many young families in the dining room for their breakfast.

Room a little dated ...lots of confusing lights/switches and no separate windows - only patio type door for ventilation.

Really just used as stop over on driving trip to Dorset. Arrived very late - staff were courteous and the room was clean and comfortable, if a little dated. But the surroundings are green and calming and quiet, bed comfy so I had a good night's sleep. Breakfast selection was good, taste OK. All in all, did the trick and would consider again.

The building itself is tired and in need of being refurbished carpets stained throughout building including the bedroom. Shower over bath is very basic and just not powerful. You can only use it as a hand shower. It's a shame it would look so much better with some money spent on it.

Great location. 2 minutes walk to Marwell zoo. 8 miles to Winchester city centre. Bed very comfortable I slept all night which is a first in a strange hotel. Towels very fluffy and white. Very clean room. Breakfast was very good. Hotel good for the price. Swimming pool small, but good to have that facility.

The exterior is old and not looked after. The cream restaurant carpet was very stained The ladies toilets were clean but all the paint had chipped away around the basins which made it look awful. .in our room the carpet was threadbare and very dated with an 80's bathroom. The bed was well worn and dipped on both sides, was comfortable enough to sleep on. The floorboards were very creeky which worried us, especially at night for our neighbours and people below us.

Food was fantastic, staff were friendly and helpful. The swimming pool was great. The area was peaceful in lovely woodland. Patio door was nice to open in our room for fresh air. The tv worked well and good to have a fridge in the room, with tea and coffee making facilities.

The room and the restaurant were dated and looking tired. Frayed carpet, wobbly chair legs and scratched paintwork in the bedroom.

The hotel needs badly updated. Shower wasn't clean. Two massive long hairs in bath. Taps and sink all full of rust. Ladies bathroom at reception all the sink area full of rust. Furniture needed updated. We wouldn't return.

Shower Over Bath, I prefer a shower c cubicle or wet room as I have trouble getting in and out of bathtubs.

The environment was 'tired'; noise from other guests moving around the landing areas/stairs/rooms was audible from our bedroom. The 2 single beds pushed together to make a superking were of different heights which made it a little uncomfortable if 'stretching out' (but demarkated boundaries well!). The hotel was comfortable however definitely the price fat exceeded the comfort offered - we paid 4 or 5* price for a 3* room/hotel. We did not sample breakfast owing to the cost already paid however did find some excellent places in Winchester at lower price for a fabulous breakfast. *very disappointed that had we booked on the day, we would have paid £80 less than we did.

It's a little tired and could do with a good clean. The breakfast wasn't great but wasn't bad either, just a bit cold.

The hotel is jungle/zoo themed and would have been great to stay with my young family.

Location perfect for a visit to Marwell zoo. Child friendly accomodation. Great food, bar and restaurant menu gave plenty of choice. Plenty of beakfast choice. Staff excellent. Pool water nice warm temperature. Beds comfortable. Shower had good water pressure.
